Best theatre piece ever
Best theatre piece ever, the film much less. Perfect adaptation from the play by Bernard Show. The lyrics are trim and proper, all the music unforgettable. Most of the songs became number one hits. Way to go Mr. Lerner and Mr. Loewe. No matter what anybody say, they just don't write like that anymore, pity. Great work by Julie Andrews and Rex Harrison. Not as the Harrison in the film or Hepburn et all. One improvement from the theatre show was Jeremy Brett from Michael King, but Freddy Eynsford=Hill is a minor character if you pardon my expression. George Cukor was a wrong director, too 1940/50sh. Cecil Beaton did fabulous costumes in both outing.Thank you for the chance to write what I feel about my favored piece of light entertainment.I need to add one more important note. The recording of the London performances of the show although basically the same as the New York City one was not as good. The singing was less sharp, Perhaps all were getting a bit tired and sloppy but this is my impression, I have both. You try it.

Full stage show score of a fabulous show. Well bound and clear type. Such fun!
Not much to say, really, it's the full vocal score of a favourite show. It's not a concert version or a film score, it's the stage show - so some of the numbers (Get Me To The Church for example) have dance breaks in them. If you're doing a concert version, you'll need your pianist to sort out the joins. Otherwise, it's clear type and well-bound unlike some of the amateur opera society scores that fall apart on first use . . . I'm loving getting to sing some of these wonderful numbers.

3 cheers for GB Shaw!
A fantastic volume. And not too loud.

Enttäuschend
Nicht einmal der Liedtext steht dabei. Die Musik ist nicht zum Mitsingen gedacht. Lädt in keiner Weise zum Spielen und Singen ein.

MY FAIR LADY vocal score
No need for a humble purchaser of a vocal score of this stunningly brilliant Lerner & Loewe Broadway classic to comment on MY FAIR LADY, which we all know and love, except to say that I'm thrilled to have been able to acquire a good copy of the vocal score and wish one could just buy them from the publisher direct, as one could when I first purchased a copy back in the 1980s (and which I subsequently lost). It's terrific that Amazon enables people to access these scores when the publishers seem to have withdrawn them from sale.
