Originally purchased these to create individual packages of coconut oil for travel since they are very expensive to buy pre-packaged. They work great for that but be careful when filling with liquid-y things. I used a funnel but found that refrigerating the CO in the size I want (using small 1 tsp size ice cube trays) then slipping into the mylar envelopes was far easier. Also used them for packing vitamins in daily serving sizes. Will be using for family heirloom jewelry too. Originally was going to get the smallest size but glad I got out a ruler so I could envision better. The 2.3 x 3.5 inch is a great and versatile size.

These foil pouches are perfect for my needs! The pouch is a great thickness so I am confident that they won’t break open accidentally. I am using this product to sample out a powdery substance and it takes 1tsp perfectly. I have also made vitamin packs for my daily meds. When you heat seal these closed, that seal becomes the bottom. You will see the notches on the other end suggesting a place to tear it open. I intentionally got the one with the clear front so that I can ensure that the powder is not at the cutting line and will not spill out when opened. With the clear front, I can make sure what is inside. I was able to write on them successfully with a permanent marker but my gel pen smeared and wiped off easily. As I use them, I am finding more things that I can package up. These are handy indeed!

I think because these are perfectly smooth, they don’t vacuum at all. I was able to get powdered items to vacuum correctly, but whole items like beans will not. Also I dropped one after a successful seal (milk powder) and it busted surprisingly easily.

This is exactly what I was looking for however dimensions are inaccurate. Can return if I pay shipping. Yes, they will refund shipping up to $20 but it will cost more than that for me to ship back. Dissappointed.
