Goddess Power Oracle (Deluxe Keepsake Edition): Deck and Guidebook

I adore this deck, but I wasn't quite sure how to start writing a review of it, so I simply decided to pull two cards from the deck to see what the deck itself might want to say and, as Colette would say, you can't make this stuff up. The first card I pulled was Ma'at, Truth (#30) and the second was White Buffalo Calf Woman, Reverence (#50). Those two cards are *precisely* the essence of what this deck is all about - expressing profound wisdom from a place of pure truth and done in a spirit of deepest reverence. It truly is brilliant and luminous in the insights it provides and I can so feel the heart centered truth behind it. I've also been astonished at how uncannily and consistently accurate it's been for me. But please don't get it expecting it to be a shortcut Wikipedia style means of learning about the Goddesses. It is, after all, an oracle deck. At her site you can find more information about the Goddesses and references to study if you're so inclined. Colette has said the deck is not traditional and it's not and that's fine - she's captured the essence that the Goddesses wanted to come through. And for me it comes down to the fact that I find myself connecting to the unusually comforting energy of this deck in a tremendously powerful way. I have and love all of Colette's decks, but, although I did have four that I used most consistently, since I first got the Goddess deck, that's been expanded to a counsel of five and I even believe that this Goddess deck may well end up in the prize seat next to my most used deck, WOTO.

And beautiful in every way! What a gorgeous presentation. Inside a sturdy magnet closure box is a mid sized guide book that is top quality. Inside you will find several spreads and a black and white photo of each card with about three paragraphs of text for each one. I have not read it yet, but from some light skimming, it seems amazing and I can’t wait to settle down with it tonight when all is quiet.After lifting out the guide book, you see another sturdy and beautiful box. And here is where it gets even better. These cards are premium, velvety quality. Just a tad thinner than the normal matte finish cards seen lately, which makes them shuffle like an absolute dream! They are just buttery soft. And the art work is dreamy and very inclusive to diversity. I am just in love with this deck!I knew this deck would be beautiful, but I did wonder if my goddess, considered a bit darker, would be included. And YES she was! Hecate, and even Kali and the Morrighan.I have almost every single deck that Collette Baron-Reid has put out and so far this is the jewel in the crown. And the artist, Jena DellaGrottaglia, is an amazing talent and made this deck truly come to life. I will be ordering one as a back up, as I know I will use this to pieces, and I will also be ordering one for my daughter.10 stars if I could!

I love that Colette took the ancient goddess myths and translated them into a modern societal understanding. In this way the teachings can be more readily applied within the mass population. The illusion of outdated mythology has been transformed by the author into useful and empowering information that the user can align within her/his everyday living. Colette has even included a few card spreads for users/readers.I feel younger age groups would find this deck user friendly and understandable. I will be buying these for my granddaughters who are 12 and 14 years old. This deck is wonderful for the more seasoned readers/users, as well. I hope you find this helpful if you are wondering and wanted to buy it as a gift to give.The cards are stored in a box within the carry/storage box which opens from the side and lifts up. This larger box is enveloped with a paper sleeve that slides off. The guidebook is a larger size. The packaging and guidebook are similar to her Mystical Shaman oracle deck. The cards shuffle freely and slide easily. They are made of a durable card stock.

As soon as I saw this I knew I had to have it especially because it features two of my favorite all-time goddesses I love the art style I can’t get enough of it the card stock is amazing I love the feel each card has and the book is incredible as well overall the box as well is really amazing I really highly recommend this deck for anybody who is a fan of goddess mythology and all the swords it is very much varied and goddesses and I very much appreciate that! If you work with oracle cards or you resonate with goddess/es or you collect oracle cards or you love Colette's work (I admit to it - I'm a total ora-geek! In full disclosure, I have nearly all of her decks - missing Wisdom of the Night and not sure how that happened!) - THIS is the deck for you! Another reason to get this deck? If you have been feeling a desire, a drive, a NEED to connect with your feminine side (male or female consumers alike), you will LOVE this deck! Your inner goddess has been desperately reaching out to you and these cards are a soft, gentle, clear opportunity to connect with her. When seeking guidance from Spirit or God/dess, these cards offer insight that cuts direct to the point. Perhaps you don't even know what you don't know but you understand there is something more for you, these cards can lead you to it. Get your deck, you won't be disappointed. The artwork, the descriptions, the energy are all off the hook - next level!

Sowohl das Deck, als auch die Beschreibung der Karten regen zu Kontemplation und Reflexion an. Die Texte sind sehr ressourcen-orientiert geschrieben, fördern die Besinnung auf die eigene Kraft und schenken Motivation. Ich bin froh, dass ich das englische Deck gewählt habe: Bei der deutschen Ausgabe sind die Ecken der Karten nicht abgerundet - das ist ein entscheidender Qualitätsnachteil bei der Handhabung. Ich würde dem Verlag empfehlen, das zu ändern. Es gibt Interessentinnen für die deutschen Karten, aber nicht in dieser Form.
