Thorntons Milk Chocolate Christmas Santa Advent Calendar 93g

This is more a review of amazon that the item. I ordered a Thornton’s calendar of particular design and received one of a different design. A small thing maybe but I ordered this one and another from a different supplier with a different picture so my two kids would not bicker over them. Now I have two matching ones which is what I wanted to avoid in the first place. As it is a food item it cannot be returned. I contacted the provider (who was very nice but was unable to help) but says it is a problem for Amazon to resolve but their returns system gives no option to speak to a human being or even email. In the end I gave up trying to return it as the aggravation and irritation it was causing was just not worth the effort. The calendar itself is good quality but it is not the one I ordered and to top it off, some idiot has stuck a whopping great bar code sticker across one of the windows which, when I tried to remove it, has left sticker remnants on the cardboard. I don’t imagine my little ones will be thrilled with that which will give them a reason to fight with each other NOT to have the spoiled one.

We haven't had the chocolate yet as it's not advent yet but having bought this because it's the only chocolate one I could find with a remotely traditional picture that I won't mind having on display until the 25th I was REALLY annoyed that an unpeeloffable barcode sticker was stuck on the front, and right over door 24 so it'd be visible all advent. I had to pick and pick away and use sticky stuff remover in an attempt to remove.

Calender is a different design to the one I ordered and is not suitable for young children as it has a word search on the back instead of a spot the difference. Very disappointing indeed!!

Arrived well and tastes good. One is never too old for a chocolate calendar.

Disliked the fact that ordered 1 but paid for 2 and only received 1. A very expensive advent calendar which is nothing special. Beware! This is my second post re this item. So Amazon where’s the second one? or better still acknowledge my question!!
