Very Relible and good battery life
This beard trimmer does everything you need. I love that all the different lengths you need are all in one attachment and you control the length with the roller situated on the handle. Which makes it very easy to use and minimises the need to keep changing trimmer heads like with other trimmers. One charge easily lasts me upwards of a month so no need to charge all the time. The cut is gentle and has never pulled my hair, the trimmer slides gently and easy. I love that's water proof and can just be washed under the tap it makes it very versatile as you can use it wet if wanted and easy to clean. All in all still a great trimmer and I highly recommend

Versatile and Reliable Trimmer for All Needs
The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased the Philips Beard & Stubble Trimmer/Hair Clipper for Men, Series 5000, and I am beyond impressed with its performance. The 40 length settings offer fantastic flexibility, allowing me to achieve the exact look I want, whether I’m going for a clean stubble or a longer beard style. The self-sharpening metal blade ensures every trim is precise and smooth, which is a huge plus. What I love most is its waterproof feature, which means I can use it in the shower—super convenient for quick grooming sessions. It’s also incredibly easy to clean; just rinse it under running water, and it’s good to go. The build quality feels solid, and it’s clear that this trimmer is built to last.If you're looking for a reliable, easy-to-use trimmer with plenty of customization options, this one is definitely worth it. Highly recommended!

Durable, does the job and good value.
I've actually owned this for over 5 years now. It's decent for giving you a stubble, but without the guard it's not great for shaping your beard. You'd need something more precise like an electric razor for this (which I do pair it with). If you're trying to shave under your nose, it's pretty hard to cut the hairs here as the guard is quite large. Other than that, the charge lasts a decent amount of time, it has a good amount of length settings and keeps you looking well groomed. Good for if you want to keep a consistent stubble and aren't that fussy about getting a really high end shaver.

Great beard and stubble trimmer, best I have had yet.
I have had various beard trimmers over the years, Remington, Philips, Wahl, Silverlight (LIDL) and a couple of others. The only one I really liked and that lasted well was an older Philips trimmer. The Remington was a pain as it was a cabled trimmer and the depth guides weren't that accurate. The build quality of the Wahl was atrocious and it fell apart just oput of warranty! The Silverlight was OK but the battery didn't hold charge very long.So when I saw another Philips on 'Deal of the Day' I thought why not give it a go.First impressions were good, as on my earlier Philips the trimmer is self-sharpening and does not require oiling; the build quality is great and feels solid in the hand; and, the guides are slightly different from other trimmers, they have two prongs that slot into the top of the trimmer.OK, charged it up and off I went.Set the length to 2.5mm and lo and behold it trimmed my beard to the perfect length...this has always been hit and miss in the past as with all others I had to use the shortest setting and even then the length was often still too long. Two guides are provided and there is a dial on the front for setting the length using each allowing a range between 1mm and 20mm.Cleaning is simple, the trimmer blades having a positive and firm click into and out of the handle.I have tried various other length settings and there is a noticeable difference between each, 3mm is too long for me and leaves my beard looking slightly scriffy, while 2mm is too short for my liking but at least you can see the difference!I have used it for trimming the edge of my hair, particularly around my ears, but I wouldn't try and trim my whole head with it because the blade is quite narrow, being designed as a bear trimmer. As to the battery charge hold, in a year of use I have charged it only four or five times after using it 2 or 3 times each week.I must say, this is probably the most accurate (for length) and best quality beard trimmer I have ever used.
