Cool Toy
Installed this on my 2007 Avalanche. The programer worked just fine and I have not had any issues running the various program options, or returning to stock. I have not driven my truck enough to notice any benefits in fuel mileage, but the shift time changes are noticeably different and firmer. I've enjoyed the product so far.The dash mount kit shown in the photos is fairly accurate, but I thought it was way too big for such a small programer and it looked a little silly up on the dash. The unit is a bit longer than a credit car and about as wide as a garage door opener so I plan on mounting it somewhere else. Why put the unit inside a mounting kit that's big enough to fill with 5 of them? Also, the unit does not power off (unless I'm missing something on the option settings) when you turn off your vehicle so you will have to pull the plug unless you want it shinning bright for all to see inside your vehicle while its parked.*Edit* - I realized the unit self powers off after some inactivity. I'm not sure how long though.

Supreme programmer!!
I had done a lot of research on these programmers. I have a 2008 silverado 1500 4.8 V8 1500 with KnN intake kit and power aid throttle body spacer. I also cut off the exhaust from just in front of the muffler and removed all of that real portion. Also have the corvette servo in the trams. On the 2 econ setting with 91 octane the truck seems to be a little more snappy than the 4 extreme setting with 91 octane. I'm guessing I need some back pressure that would be provided if I hadn't chopped the exhaust but boy is it beefy and manly. I have a friend that has 100 octane thAt were going to try a fee gallons and see what kind of times I can do. On the extreme setting my 0-60 is around 8 sec, and 1/4 mile around 15 at 98 mph. Seems kinda slow. I think another dude reported he was getting 7Sec 0-60 and faster 1/4 mile times. The programmer is very easy to use and install. If installed on the dash you can monitor a plethora of parameters. Spark advance, intake air temp, vehicle speed, engine load, Instant mpg, and much more. Comes with everything you need. I highly recommend buying from diesel power products. Those guys are supreme. Ordered it Tuesday morning received it Wednesday afternoon via UPS next day air at no cost. Hell yes son!

Not quite what I hoped for...
I purchased this unit for my 2007 Chevy Avalanche hoping to get better performance, crisper shifting, and maybe even a little better fuel mileage. It was easy to update and install, and I really loved the custom display that helped to monitor my vehicle functions. First HUGE dissappointment was setting it on the #2 economy setting. My truck knocked terribly on regular unleaded gas, which was not supposed to happen on the economy mode. I had to run premium in my truck even to use mode #2. It did run somewhat better but the gains were just modest, at best. I tried all the higher performance modes and really couldn't tell a big difference. Even the shift improvements were only modest. Bottom line: For the fairly high price tag on this programmer, I expected to have a huge change in the way my truck ran, but that didn't happen. And btw, the dash pod that is included with the programmer WILL NOT fit an Avalanche. You have to contact the company and request they send you the pod to fit the Avy, which will be the same as a Surburban, Tahoe, etc. The Chevy pickup dash is configured differently...

Worth every penny!!!
Bought this programming unit to help improve my fuel economy while towing. The programs included in this unit are easy to load and definitely affect the performance of my pickup. Loading the Extreme Performance or Towing Tune both require 91 octane or higher fuel but the towing program improved my fuel economy from 8 to 9 miles per gallon while pulling my 6700lb travel trailer. The modified shift points improved towing performance. The display is customizable and I use it to display the Engine Oil Temperature, Engine Coolant Temperature, Transmission Oil Temperature and Engine Load.Additionally, the included performance tests allow you to gauge the changes in performance. I ran 4 passes with the stock program to establish my base 0-60 times. (two passes each direction) I loaded the Towing Tune and reran the 0-60 tests. Dropped my 0-60 average by .5 seconds. So, faster, more efficient, and valuable information at hand while towing.Excellent for my application.Installed in a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 Extended Cab New Body.P.S. Comes with the dash pod for mounting the programming unit above the dash.

great programmer, even better price!!!
I put this programmer on my 07 new body chevy reg cab with the 4.8l. My truck has exhaust and it'd lowered so I wanted to bump up the performance and boy did it! I love being able to monitor temps and oil pressure to, as the new chevys are very limited on gauges. My truck now is 0-60 in just under 5.1. The best thing about the programmer is the mpg increase. I mostly keep is on the eco setting because the xtreme mode is a bit much for daily driving (truck will scare you with power). Since road testing the fuel economy I have been getting on average 2-3 mpg more than before. On occasion sometimes it'll get up to 4 mpg more than before. But do keep in mind this programmer will make you want to haul @$$ everywhere, you can't hammer on it and expect better mpg.

Power Returned!!
I wasn't so sure about this programmer at first but I had the money and NEEDED better performance/MPG. I recently lifted my 07 NNBS Silverado 6 inches with 35x20 tires and I went from 17 MPG to 11 MPG it was awful, after the edge set on economy I went back up to about 15 MPG and then wanted to try the performance (current) and I am seeing about 14-15 but definitely love stepping on the gas. (ALL HAND CALCULATED MPG) After reading reviews and descriptions I was definitely impressed with the features it has and what it does for my truck! The dash mount is a little confusing to install but I made it work and Ive already got Cummins, Duramax, and Powerstroke owners wanting one for their truck!

Doesn't really work on 6.0L or 6,2L
I bought this for my 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD 6.0 Automatic but no where does it say on the description that you can't adjust customized options like tire size, axle ratio, transmission settings or speed limiter when you have a 6.0L or 6.2L
