I have been using the 32 oz Smart Flask for water a little over a week
I have been using the 32 oz Smart Flask for water a little over a week. I like that when I leave the bottle in my car on a run, my water isn't hot when I finish. I like the straw, however, the regular lid is attached and can't be removed so it hangs while the straw lid is being used. I can't speak to the durability of the straw yet. I would recommend this bottle for daily use around the house. It doesn't fit in my vehicle cup holders and is too heavy to use hiking. With all stainless cups, like our Yetis and Rtics, I taste the dish soap after a wash no matter how thoroughly I rinse, so if this bothers you (as it does me) be aware. The limitations of weight and taste are true of any stainless product, but I made the trade for cooler water and the ease of sipping with a straw. I will still use my Nalgene in cold weather and hiking. This bottle has not leaked using exclusively the straw lid. I like it and the company is apparently family owned and operated, so you support a small businesses with your purchase.

Great bottle backed by great support
Disclaimer: I'm just a guy who bought a water bottle not a paid reviewer. Why did I choose this one: It didn't cost as much as the others, it seemed to have some good legitimate reviews, it supposedly came from a small family shop, and it was this nifty blue color. So I receive the bottle and everything seems great. I love the way the flip top works and it's keeping the water cold. However, I'm having to work too hard to get water through the straw with the lid fully tightened. Only fix is to loosen the lid which isn't really a fix.I've seen this problem with other bottles so I send an email to the company asking if this is just the way it works. I get an email back that evening from Bob the owner saying that no, there's a problem with the lid, he'll send another lid immediately, and he's sorry for the problem. A few days later, I receive the new lid and it works perfectly. In summary: The bottle is great and Bob is awesome.

The Hydro Flask looked like the best contender but by the time you added ...
When I play tennis I drink a lot of water. Sometimes as much as a quart. My standby water bottle was a Coleman 48 oz jug with a hinged spout. I'm guessing it has foam insulation. When I leave the house I fill the bottle halfway with ice. When I get to the courts I top it off with water. After around two hours the ice is half melted and, because you have to tip the bottle to drink (there is no straw), sometimes the ice blocks the opening. I also end up swallowing a lot of air. Deciding it was time for a change, I started looking for vacuum insulated bottles with a straw. The Hydro Flask looked like the best contender but by the time you added the straw lid you were at $50. Enter the Smart Flask. I have not owned a Hydro Flask but the Smart Flask looks like a rip off...of a Hydro Flask but at less than half the price. I must say I am thrilled with this product, so much so that I have order the 18oz version to use in my car. On a hot day, after 4 hours, the water is still ice cold. Because it has a straw you don't have to tilt the bottle as you are pulling from the bottom. Thus you don't swallow any air. It comes with a Travel Lid and a Straw Lid. Someone complained you can't remove the Travel Lid when you are using the Straw Lid. Not exactly true. The lid is attached with a rubber ring around the mouth of the bottle that can easily be popped off which is what I did. Bottom line...highly recommended!

Great price for a vaccum insulated flask, but defective.
Bought this for my daughter and she really liked the color, the size, and the straw lid. Unfortunately, straw was unable to suck up liquid due to a defective lid (straw dimple not sealed allowing air into the flow.) Sending back for a refund.

Cold vs. Cool
I like my water ice cold otherwise it's hard for me to keep hydrated. So topping my 32 oz. flask with ice then filling with water has lasted 20 1/2 hrs. the way I like it so far. I can probably exceed that by using solid ice cubes instead of the ones with a hole in the middle. Also I just got a valuable tip to fill it just with ice cubes only getting it real cold, then dumping it out and refilling it all over again but this time include the water (Correct me if I misunderstood directions). Also if I didn't use the Straw Lid (a small amount of air can probably melt the ice quicker) it might reach that 24 hr. mark. I'm very happy with my Smart Flask at $21.95 compared to the Hydro Flask at $39.95 not to mention the Yeti at even a higher price.

Great Buy
I love this bottle!! Keeps my water cold during all my workouts in the hot summer here. I definitely prefer the straw lid over the other. So happy it came with one. I haven't tried any hot drinks in it since I bought for the main purpose to fill it with water. But 32 ounces is the perfect size for me as I need to increase water intake. Don't hesitate! Less expensive than hydro flask and come with 2 lids! Also I must add that I dropped it on concrete while walking and barely a dent. It's very durable in my opinion.
