PERFECT IMO but... does need 1 thing.
I don't write a lot of reviews but I wanted to write on this one for two reasons. First, because I like the product! I'd debated buying something like this for several years as my old one (a Craigslist find) was dying / rusting out. Hated spending more than "craigslist" prices but, this is definitely one of those "you get what you pay for" deals as this is a really good product. Exactly what we were looking for. Works exactly as described and looks great. The only thing it needs in my opinion is a way to deal with the funnel effect. If you think "rainstorm" and then look at the design of the fire-pit itself... it actually forms a giant funnel to collect rainwater and pour it inside the base / all over the metal parts inside... which in my experience rust out WAY to quick. :( Now granted there aren't a lot of metal parts inside but funneling water inside is certainly going to hasten their demise so.... I bought a HUGE bowl (search "Winco , 30-Quart, Stainless Steel" on Amazon) and put it on top, then put the included cover over that and strapped it down ($1.99 strap in the camping section at Walmart - I use them for everything!). Without the added bowl, when you put the included cover over the fire-it it simply sags down into the bowl and water fills up in it like a bird bath and... then water drips / seeps through the cover into the bowl and down into the base. No good. Bowl solves the problem and should make this fire-pit last a good 10+ years. See pics I've attached. Bowl is huge yes, but fits this perfectly.

Most awesome fire ring out there!
The media could not be loaded. Loved this unit...came all put together, well boxed, protected...Literally spent more time prepping site and unboxing it than anything else.Install tank, connect, turn valve, open gas, press igniter, shazam, fire...So easy a caveman can do it..if you can operate a gas grill, you can operate this.We replaced the lava rock with the cut glass faux rock, love it.The amazon delivery crew dropped it right where i needed, guy was a stud...3-8-21ok...just using the glass block was weak, so i added the lava rock and the glass block, fills in the bowl more, i like the look of the fire as it wafts up thru the stone/glass too...Also, the plastic pot liner was cheesy, so i hit lowes and bought a 31gal galvanized trash can, and use the lid to cover the bowl, perfect fit, and can be put on while the the unit is cooling, natural hi point so water will shed too. Also picked up a 19.00 grill cover to replace the POS supplied.

Fire
Great fireplace for outdoor use. Easy to put together. The door that covers the propane tank doesn't like to stay closed but other than that it's pretty fantastic.

I'm pleased after some initial issues
UPDATED REVIEW********************After a couple of back-and-forth messages with the seller it appears that I have the fire pit working correctly. We've now had probably 5 hours or more of usage without a single flame-out. It looks nice and at roughly 5% of a propane tank per hour it is giving me the warmth and ambience we were hoping for. I'd buy again. If it had initially worked fine or if the seller had been a little easier to deal with it would have been five stars from me.ORIGINAL REVIEW*********************I love the way this fire bowl looks and when it is actually working it is fantastic. Unfortunately, it just doesn't work consistently. Every single time I've tried to use it I've experienced repeated instances of the flames just going out at random intervals for no apparent reason. It will light again immediately if I press the control button before the flames fully dissipate, but I don't want to sit there pressing the button a dozen times in the course of an hour.I sent the seller a message looking for assistance and the initial response was clearly a form letter that was wildly unhelpful since it told me to do things that are not obvious and for which they provided zero instructions. I received a somewhat more helpful second response a couple of days later, but that one was still not entirely clear as it made references to symbols on the fire pit and information in the instruction manual that don't appear to match my fire bowl. They've provided enough information that I think I can figure out the rest on my own, but I'm sure glad I saved all the packing materials because this one will be going back as defective if I can't get it working in the next few days.

Great Fire Columns for our Pool.
We bought 2 for our pool. We did replace one as it kept going out. We noticed they were slightly different. One had a circle where the flame came out and one had a rectangle. The rectangle didn't work as well. The replacement was the circle. They work great. Look great and produce a good amount of heat. We did change out the lava rocks for blue glass which we loved. I bought 2 sets of 20lb. glass separately [Future Way 20lbs Fire Pit Glass, 1/2 Inch Cobalt Blue]. We also bought garbage can lids and spray painted them bronze and added magnets so they stayed down instead of the ugly covers. We ordered them directly from Behrens [31 gallon steel lid]. Love them.

It's the real deal
This firepit is the real deal - it is heavy duty. From the stand to the bowl on top, it is not cheaply made. It is heavy so you won't just lift it up and around all the time, but the base and the bowl are really sturdy, not just look alike material. We bought the glass to go in it, we filled the bottom part with part of the lava rock included and then put the glass on top of that, otherwise, you may be buying 2 containers of glass. It was easy to assemble and we had it up and going within 20 to 30 minutes. We bought a different heavy duty cover for it, as the one that comes with it is very thin and it looks like water would likely leak through it. Very beautiful on our deck, I would recommend this fire pit.
