Very good general guide!!!
Very good book to provide excellent advices on what to do or what not to do... I read quite a lot of things before starting my restoration project and this book has answered a lot of questions. It is not 100% a step by step as you need bodywork knowledge before you start, but it is definitely a must have.

Great, great manual. I mean, Haynes is the name in these kinds of things. Very detailed on information to restore your beetle from the ground up. If you love Beetles and are ready to restore, read this book.

Good book but lacks detail.
Good book, but not as I expected. I expected more detail with more pictures showing how and left out some things like the electrical and how to restore some minor items, but a good book over all showing major restoration on big items.

Exactly what I needed
I don't know bugs well enough to get it all broken down and put back together. This is one of a few critical publications that I simply have to have to get my bug restorations perfect.

If you are restoring a VW, this is a must read book!
Great information and pictures. A lot of information and fine points to use during a restoration.Some things that I haven't considered are covered in the text

Very detailed and informative. Wish the Pic were in color to be more visible. Helpful to a novice in redoing a car.

Very informative
I bought this book as I am looking to purchase and restore a VW Beetle. The book is well informed and has provided good advice on what to look for when purchasing the Beetle. It also contains the history of the Beetle/Transporter and information on each variant.

Good book, but needs more expanded diagrams
Lots of reading and good for someone who wants to know the process of restoring a beetle or camper. The normal workshop haynes manual is better for me as there are more diagrams, I bought both.

Good,but...
Brought this book as a present for my dad, came on time and in good condition. The only thing is, to me, it is very much black and white with small writing so i find it a bit boring, but has everything in. Didnt know to buy this or the haynes mannual.

Haynes is living up to its usual standard of manuals here.Excellent and useful book with great pictures and descriptions.
