This is a great filter. I am impressed by the quality of it, especially at the price point. I had read other reviews on Amazon and a certain photography supply catalog. I decided to give it a try. Works as advertised! I've had some great shots with it with several of our cloudy days here in the NW.

Amazing filter. Great deal!
Made a huge difference! I own Nikon D3300 and the pictures I'd been taking before were amazing. But I moved the limit so much further after I finally got the filter! This filter makes all the colors pop, clouds look fantastic, green trees and grass hav this pop-out green color. I higly recommend the filter if you love your camera and want to have the professional quality pictures.

Degrades your image slightly
Don't expect the same sharpness as when you're not using this Filter. The extra two layers of glass will degrade your image slightly. I love what the polarizing does to remove reflection from all surfaces and the intensification of the colors, but just know, there's a trade-off. Otherwise, I trust the Hoya brand to make a quality product.

Works great on my Fuji X-100f
This product (49mm Hoya Circular Polarizing Filter) was delivered quickly and arrived in good condition. After figuring out the proper way to install the filter on my X-100f, I tried out several photographs. So I haven't had a big photographic trip to use this on yet, but it seems to work really well, with no color distortion, the elimination of all different kinds of reflections, the slight intensifying of natural scenes (fewer reflections from leaves), and the increased clarity of the sky (fewer reflections off of the particles in the atmosphere). The filter can also reduce reflections off of people's faces, which can be helpful at time. One problem, however, is that none of my lens caps fit with the filter on. Perhaps this is normal with filters. But it would be nice to have a lens cap that fits over screw on filters.

Fantastic filter
Great filter. It came in good condition, and has worked exactly as I expected it to. I would recommend this filter to anyone who does a lot of photography in harsh sunlight, who wants deeper blue skies, or wants to remove reflections from water or glass. The only thing that I was slightly disappointed by was that it hasn't cut out all reflections from the desired surfaces, but I'm not even sure that that is possible with a circular polarizer. If you need certain reflections completely removed, I would recommend looking into linear polarizers.

Works great
Bought this for my Nikon 55-300 lens on my nikon D3300 camera. It fit well and gives beautiful touch to my photos with glass and water reflections. Took some pictures on the beach and the sky and water were beautiful. I'm happy. Polarizer is the only filter I keep on my camera at all times. Also serves as a 1 or 2 stop neutral density filter in a pinch with bright sun.

Nearly unusably stiff rotation--buy the Pro1 instead
As far as Hoya polarizers go, this one is "OK". But it's definitely not "Great". I've used Hoya's Pro1 series polarizers in the past--and wasn't really paying attention to the fact that this was an "Alpha" series when I bought it. I connected it to my lens just fine--and it did what polarizers do. However, this thing didn't meet my expectations in the usability department. I'm used to keeping my eye on the viewfinder, and reaching to the lens to gently turn the polarizer with one finger. With my eye looking through the viewfinder, I can maintain my composition while rotating the polarizer--and snap the shot at just the right time. Unfortunately, the Hoya Alpha rotates too stiffly to allow "one finger" operation. I quickly became aggravated with this thing--and in the end, returned it for a refund. I then ordered the Hoya Pro1 polarizer--which rotates just as smooth as butter--with one finger. I do not recommend getting the Hoya Alpha series polarizer, unless you don't mind fiddling with it to get it into the right position when you're shooting. Go with the Hoya Pro1 instead. You'll be happy you did. Hoya 67mm Alpha Circular Polarizer Filter

You put this bad boy on your lens and it makes everything look ...
I use this filter when there is way too much sun out. Usually on hot summer days when the sun is beaming down there will probably be too much going in. You put this bad boy on your lens and it makes everything look so much less harsher than what it would be. Great product overall. I haven't used it as much as I wanted to as the sun hasn't been totally beaming down on me when I take pictures.

Good Filter!
I like how it cuts reflection, but I really like how it makes the blues stand out in the sky! Good filter!
