I have had 3 G35 in a year they all break at the joint of cup and headband. What is your experience?

Yup, same experience. I am incredibly gentle with my stuff. I have a hanger for my headset and the G35 still broke ON BOTH SIDES. It has metal against plastic, and the plastic is thin. How anyone has this last more than a few months of use I have no idea. The way it breaks also makes it pretty impossible to repair. Overall I'm kind of a Logitech and Razer (Naga) fan, but I have been having a lot more success with no name brand gear and at a lot less money. So, as much as the voice changing was fun on the G35, I've found my new gaming headset and it isn't Logitech. I'm currently using a "Jeecoo" headset and the sound and build quality are way better than the G35.

has the cracking issue been fixed?

Mine was purchased Oct.2014, and I had an exact same issue like you had after 1 year and half of usage, what I did is email customer and got a new pair. Work perfectly fine through now.

Does this headset offer mic loopback? (can you hear how loud or how low you are talking?)

Yes it does. It's got all the features anyone could want from a headset it's just also got a really awful design flaw in the plastic that connects the earpieces to the headpiece. A design flaw that makes it not worth 10 bucks much less the 120 most places ask.

How long is the cord?

It's about 10 or so feet. Rough estimate, but it's long enough to move around my desk and what not.
