Jim Beam to me is the Forgotten sleeping giant in the Bourbon renaissance they’ve marketed cocktail Bourbon instead of good whiskey. This is good whisky, on the nose I’m getting brown sugar, oak, and dried raisins & dates, it’s a dry spicy Bourbon not as punchy as a Wild Turkey 101 but pleasantly smooth on the finish. I’m also getting a dry woody smell like a walk in the woods in July could be the long lost barrels that’s stored in the hot Kentucky summers.The Beam brand could really shake up the Bourbon market if they wanted too, and go top shelf but they don’t, they have generations of master distillers that’s been past down from the beginning, now that’s some whiskey sommelier training.

I was definitely attracted to this offering from Jim Beam by the bottle design.It’s a perfectly nice bourbon, but it’s a bit too ‘lively’ for me, with quite a lot of burn…Really needs to be had with ice rather than straight/neat.It’s a little pricey compared to the rest of the Jim Beam line up too.It’s not as refined as you would hope for a single barrel.Looks lovely in a home bar line up though, so probably a good one to gift to a bourbon lover in your life.

This arrived and withing a few weeks I've supped it.Lots of caramel, rich and smooth with tons of vanilla and that warming Werther's original after taste and, of course, a beautifully smooth warming Kentucky hug on its way down.Much prefer this to Eagle Rare (which everyone seems to be recommending at the moment.)Pic says it all...Another bottle of Mr Beam empty. DEFINITELY ordering some more. Can't fault it...even better than the Colonel E. H. Taylor small batch (check out the price of that one!

Amazon sells Jim Beam products at very good prices. But I hadn't seen this Single Barrel version before, and as it was, well, cheap because it was Prime Day, I jumped at the chance to give it a go. It was really very nice and smooth, and had a bit of a punch, being above normal proof. At full price I think there are a few other bourbons out there with a tad more character. But if you want something for mixing then you can get 2 bottles of ordinary JB for the price of 1 of this.

This is a bourbon that has flavor front and center. Its rich with an oily mouthfeel and complex palette. Very good value, not at all like the bog standard Jim Beam. Do not mix with a soft drink. This is a sipping whiskey.

No sé qué tiene el Jim Beam, que me apasiona y rechazo por igual. Es ese sabor/olor a esmalte, barniz... Ese toque casi sintético. Que dependiendo del día, me encanta, porque combina con el resto de sabores a la perfección, y otros días solo me sabe a eso. En esta versión, single barrel, es una nota muy al fondo y más difícil de apreciar.Destaco notas dulces, y madera. Teniendo en cuenta el porcentaje de alcohol, un 47%, sólo me costó un poco. Pero con un hielo, es cuando encontré su mejor versión.Me está gustando mucho, y creo que por casi 25€ está, bien de precio.Le puedo comparar con single barrel de Jack Daniels, que me gustó menos que este, y con Markers Mark, el cuál me parece más fino, pero menos contundente.Buen bourbon!

Ich war gespannt auf den neuen Single Barrel von Jim Beam. Single Barrel bedeutet, dass hier nur ein einzelnes Fass abgefüllt wurde. Die Flasche ist sehr hochwertig und die Fassnummer wurde per Hand auf das Etikett geschrieben.Farbe: Dunkler BernsteinAroma: Vanille, Karamell, aromatische Eiche, brauner Zucker, etwas Zimt, Popcorn, einen Spritzer OrangenölGeschmack: Würzigkeit und Süße auf der Zunge, Vanilleeis mit Karamellsauce, etwas Tabak, etwas altes LederAbgang: Mittellang, Eiche, Zuckerwatte bleibt am Gaumen kleben. Mild, nichts brennt.Fazit: Ein gut ausgesuchtes Fass. Hier bekomme ich alle Aromen die ich bei Bourbon so liebe. Da hier nur einzelne Fässer ausgesucht werden, können die einzelnen Abfüllungen unterschiedlich ausfallen.

Este es mucho mejor que la pegatina blanca (el Jim Beam normal).El sabor es mas refinado y mas suave (no deja ningun desgusto) que el normal. Es mas fuerte tambien.Lo compre en oferta y diria que fue por eso que me gusta tanto. Si hubiera estado en su precio normal, puede que no lo apreciaria tanto.Definitely better than the White Label Jim Beam.I'd say this tastes like a good knock off of Knob Creek. They're from the same distillery so I guess that makes sense.I still prefer Knob Creek to this, but for the price (21 euros on offer), this is really nice.
