I recently put the ZELCAN Chisel Set with SDS Plus Shanks to the test on a home improvement project, and it truly impressed me. The 6-piece set includes a variety of chisels that made working on different tasks so much easier. The flat chisel worked wonders for removing tiles. It made the job quicker and cleaner than I expected. The pointed chisel came in handy for more detailed work, like breaking up old concrete, and it was precise and effective. One feature I really liked was the durability of these chisels. Made from 40Cr steel, they withstood a lot of pressure without any noticeable wear. Used these bits to break up Las Vegas caliche, rocks, and palm tree roots (which were worse than rocks!) for some below-ground irrigation trenches in my back yard. For me they did what I asked them to do at a price that was sensible, and I have no buyer's remorse. Since this was a one-off project for me that didn't justify pouring money into high-grade tools, I bought these and went to town for four or five days boring through some tough Nevada desert dirt. As my pictures show, not only was I going through lousy desert caliche, but there was solid rock, an edge to the concrete slab that needed to be trimmed, and an INSANE and endless root system from 7 palm trees that had been removed from the yard... good grief I never thought any tree could be so resilient and invasive of the ground. The spade bit was essential for that... I would've been there for a thousand years without it. The bits needed to be sharpened on my grinder first to be effective, but I didn't have problems until I started fighting the palm tree roots - the sharper edge cut through the roots allowing them to be ripped out. All in all, money well-spent for me.

Bought these to chip away tile from a concrete floor and it handled it with ease. I also used one to open up the concrete in the basement to re-route my plumbing and it also did this with ease. I would buy again if needed.
