I wanted a picnic basket for my birthday, and picked this one. It looks how I imagine a picnic basket to look. There are choice of patterns to pick from. I opted for the blue stripe model. All cloth-like materials match.Speaking of "cloth-like", I don't know what the napkins are made from but they don't feel particiularly absorbant. I washed them on a delicate setting with some liquid comforter and they are still fairly rigid. In fact, they fold up exactly as they came. They look okay, but I plan to pack some paper napkins in addition.The utensils and cups came wrapped in plastic. I washed the utensils and plates in the top rack of my dishwasher and they came out nicely sanitized. I washed the plastic glasses by hand because they feel more delicate to me and I don't want to risk them losing their shape in a hot dishwasher.There are no instructions with this product so it was a risk on my part placing things in the dishwasher. If they turned out not to be dishwasher safe I would rather know now and substitute with something that was.But nothing to worry about.The insulated area is well sized and perfect for packing your picnic for 4 people. You could easily fit a bottle of wine or a 4-pack of beer inside along with your picnic lunch. Note that the plastic wine glasses in this compartment. If you plan to pack a bottle of wine I'd be careful to ensure it is not moving around and possibly breaking the plastic wine glasses.There is a 4-foot by 5-foot "picnic blanket" with the basket. It's more a pad than a blanket and probably will not help make rough ground underneath, feel soft or less rough. But if you're picnic is on grass you'll be okay. There are straps on one end of the basket that you use to secure the blanket.My summary opinion of this picnic basket is that it's well priced at under $60 and I would recommend it to friends. I have two young grandchildren and will use this the next time they visit to take a picnic with us to the playground, minus the wine. :)

We bring this with us whenever we go out on dates and know there's a park or something similar near by. It is insulated so it keeps items cold while we go hiking or out and about somewhere else. Once we get back to our vehicle, we have a great lunch ready for us. Plates/utensils are perfect for a cute picnic.

I loved so many thing about this picnic basket! I love all the little details it has and everything. The basket itself is well made and pretty durable. However, I was not expecting plastic handles on the utensils for the price I paid, or plastic plates and cups, but it's still cute (:But... It came broken! The chains that hold the lid open are uneven, and one of them broke off in the middle. One of the plastic cups did come broken and I was sad! I wouldn't have really said anything about the chains because I would've just fixed it, but I don't want a broken cup for the price of this.

This product is both attractive and affordable. When I received it, one of the knives was missing and as it had been shipped from China, I figure I'd either have to return it or accept having one missing. No, they sent me two! I would gladly do business with this company again, emails were polite and prompt. Nice people.
