iPearl mCover Hard Shell Case for 13.3" ASUS Chromebook C300MA / C300SA Series Laptop (Pink)

The good: The cover fits snugly (only one real creaky spot). All the cut outs are appropriately placed for access to USB, power, etc. It is a bit less smudgy than the native Asus finish.The meh: It's really pretty flimsy, especially the bottom half of the shell (that piece is actually quite perforated...I've owned colanders with more solid real estate!). I understand this is likely for cooling or non-skid purposes, but it looks like hell and will likely collect schmutz. Further, the retractable feet will be broken off before too long, I am certain.I expected a bit more from this item, thinking I would be getting a better grade product on sale ($40 for $20 as of 1/15) versus a cheap product at a premium. It reminds me of a Nokia phone cover bought from eBay or a mall kiosk in the early aughts. Since there aren't too many options for a custom cover for this Chromebook and since this Chromebook will be used basically around the house by a responsible adult, I'll keep it...an inexpensive accessory for an inexpensive device. If you are a student or road warrior, I might go for something a little more substantial if available. And I definitely hope they change/fix the awful/unnecessary (and not pictured, btw) perforated design of the bottom half of this item.

It fit my new Chromebook perfectly and stays on tightly without blocking any of the ports/sockets on the sides. The underside is a grille, to keep heat from building up, and that hasn't been a problem. The folding feet underneath seem sturdy and they lift the back edge up a little over an inch above the table, if you prefer that angle for typing -- increases ventilation too, if you are concerned about heat build-up. If color is important to you, you should know that it is translucent, so if you put it on a white computer, it may look approximately the color shown in the photo, but on a black computer it will look deep violet -- also a very nice color, but not what it shows in the photo. I haven't dropped it -- yet -- so I don't know how much protection it offers to the laptop. It doesn't show fingerprints. The stickers that I decorated it with are staying stuck on.

Fits my Asus perfectly and helps diffuse the awful yellow color that I ordered the chromebook in! I despise the color yellow, but could not justify paying an extra fifty dollars for the red or blue chromebooks, nor did I want the black (yeah yeah... I know, color doesn't matter). I knew this was translucent and was hoping to add some pink to the laptop. It worked great! I might buy a blue one too so I can have a greenish final color! The little legs are so super nice for tilting the laptop up to type in class. I get compliments on it every day and people ask where I got it! This is a must buy for college students that have this chromebook. It's provided great protection for my chromebook too. This gets an A for functionality and looks, so I'm a happy gal!

This product appears to be as advertised, but cannot comment on its performance due to the fact that the laptop we bought it for was out of stock and so it has not been installed. The return privilege expired before we determined that we would not be able to get the laptop it fits, therefore we were not able to return it and get a refund, hence the "downgrade" to a four star rating. We have no reason to believe, from its appearance, that it is anything less than what it is advertised to be.

I would give it 5 stars, because the fit is nice and secure and I love the kick-stands in the back to tilt the computer. However, the color is not as pictured here. I ordered the blue, thinking it would be a light blue like the picture, but it is a very dark blue and in some lights just makes my laptop look darker with no coloring at all. It is way more transparent than pictured above.

Great case, love the color!This case fist my ASUS Chromebook 2 perfectly.I have the yellow Chromebook, the pink case makes it a cute melon color.Of course this isn't a heavy duty protective case, but a nice case to protect from day to day stuff and keeps the nice thin and light properties that are part of my Chromebook.My Chromebook has become my electronic baby and I had to have something to protect it :)This fits the bill and I was one of those who bought the yellow Chromebook for the lower price, but not the love of the color, so this also fixes that.Love it!

I'll start by being honest. The only reason I bought this case, was because I transport my laptop a lot for school and I couldn't find a different case for this type of laptop. I give this 3 stars, because the top cover fits perfectly, but the one that goes on the bottom keeps falling off. This feels very generic for a $20 case to me. its super thin cheap plastic and i kind of regret buying this. But i guess it will provide protection to the top of my laptop at least.

Purchased March 25, 2015 for my Asus C300. I can not praise this thing enough. Two near catastrophes since purchase. I dropped my Asus from the top of a washing machine to the concrete floor, the case went in two directions and the chromebook went another. The case snapped backed together with no damage to any part. Another drop from pickup seat to pavement...everything held together on this drop and again no damage to any part. Great product IMO. I like the clear case to display art! Thanks.
