COWON AV-TV out cable for S9/J3/X7/C2/I10

Using the latest 2.10 firmware, the TV out cable works great. To use it, follow these steps (not explicitly explained by Cowon):1) Connect the TV and the S92) Start a movie up3) Press the flip button and select the TV out icon (a square with an arrow going into it)4) Pressing + (or -, get them confused) will return playback to the S9.5) Pressing - changes the aspect ratio. It's normally set to the default aspect ratio, but pressing this makes it stretch full screen. Pressing it again does nothing, and I'm guessing it's supposed to crop it to fullscreen but is bugged or not implemented yet.There's not much else to say about it, it just works. Probably saves battery life as well but I haven't tested it.

So once you can get this to work, it works just as it's supposed to. The thing is this: it doesn't come with instructions. But, having used A/V cables for all sorts of devices before, I figured it would be a mostly plug-and-play situation. Instead, after a year of leaving this cable in a drawer because I couldn't get it to do anything on either of my two TVs, I finally came across a review that walks through the steps of getting videos to play on the TV. As helpful as that was, I still give three stars for the fact that 1) there are no instructions with the product or available online, and 2) use of this cable is not at all intuitive. I've not used a device before that required that many steps just to perform a basic function. I love my S9, but this was just ridiculous.Incidentally, I was contacted by Jet Audio after I left my initial poor rating, and they responded to my frustration with the lack of instructions and functionality with a simple, "it's not supposed to come with instructions," rather than offering any sort of useful information for getting it to work. They even asked me to reconsider my rating because instructions weren't supposed to be included anyway, which is entirely irrelevant. The question was never whether they forgot to include them, but that they should be provided to begin with. NOT cool, guys.

I just got this cable today and immediately put it to use to watch Street Dance 3D. It was awesome! Everything looks just like the video source. If you need a manual, another user's review pretty much just explained it to you, it's what I used to figure things out.Audio is clear and picture is crisp. Unfortunately when I tried to play a video that has .srt subtitle file, the speed don't match or the multiple subs got shown together on the tv screen, which is weird since it doesn't happen on Cowon's screen.

This cable is awesome! It does its job just perfect. The picture quality is great! I don't see a big difference if I watch the movie(624x352 pixels,1156 kb/s,not converted for J3 screen) on TV set(video goes from Cowon J3) or if I watch it on TV set with video going from laptop by HDMI cable! The sound is great too.

Me gusto mucho utilizar el cable, solo hay que tomar en cuenta que dependiendo de la calidad de archivo de video, asi se vera en la pantalla de la television.

Used this to play videos from my cowon s9 on your the tv mounted in my suv on long trips. Worked well for that . When I tried to use it on my 32" hdtv at home video quality was very bad.

The only thing that disappointed me was the fact that I couldn't listen to my music that's not a video through my TV when I wanted to. Other than that, it worked fins and dandy from the video aspect.

I was also happy with this item, It was sturdy and did what it was recommended for.I like this product.
