You get what you pay for
The humidity gauge on the top is off by 20% which set off the alarm. The recommended temp is 38.2 C which is over 103 F too hot. Making your own adjustment with an added thermometer is a must. The slots in the tray aren't lined up right, so I'll have too improvise a little. The top is in 2 pieces instead of 1 solid piece which would have made more sense, but I think some good glue or tape might fix it. What I like about it is it comes with a built in light for candling which does work. Also you can remove the turning rod so chicks won't hurt themselves running into it. Another nice feature is you can use a 12V battery if the power goes out.

Great for making tempeh and Rejuvelac
I just really love it. I just put the ziploc bag full of tempeh on top of the egg holder tray. I did not plug in the egg turner. Set the temperature and let her rip. The best tempeh is made at 75% humidity, so I watched the humidity gauge and had to open the top just a bit and from then on it went like clockwork. The tempeh was actually ready in 24 hours. It is cold here in the winter and I do not have heat so previously could not sprout grain for Rejuvelac unless it was a sunny day. This little incubator really does the job...just very happy with it.
