Athena 7 Minute Lift - .5 oz Jar

UPDATE: A question popped up in my comments section reminding me of the existence of this review. I'm afraid I have to adjust my previous glowing review of this product. The first time I bought this product, it had more of a consistency like a cream. When I applied it, it gave my skin a tingling feeling not unlike how lip plumpers feel. It plumped up my wrinkles quite dramatically. Sadly, when my jar finally ran out and I repurchased the product, it had a sticky, tacky consistency and I had to thin it out with water to apply it. The effect was quite different...instead of the tingly feeling, I just got the feeling that the product was drying on me similar to when you put on a clay mask and let it dry. The results weren't as dramatic and were quickly wiped away with a cotton ball soaked in witch hazel. I feel like there was a formula change and that the previous version of the product acted like a plumper and the new version acts more like a topical filler. I haven't bought it since and I was very disappointed. I would be afraid to spend that kind of money on this product again. Unfortunately, my 4 star review needed to be adjusted based on that experience.Original Review (excerpt): It is a short term miracle. I first tried it by buying a sample from their website because I was scared to drop that kind of cash, but I was sold with my first application. I rushed over to my mom's house and she experienced great results, too. I am 31 and I have lots of fine lines around my eyes and good size forehead creases. A couple of small dabs of Athena (a little goes a VERY long way) and my fine lines had all but disappeared and my forehead looked much smoother. My boyfriend even noticed, and that says a lot. My mom looked years younger, too, after using it. This product does take a little bit of practice to apply (comes with great instructions) and it does feel weird. Once you apply it your skin starts to feel tight and tingly, but it isn't uncomfortable just weird and the sensation seems to fade somewhat after a few applications.

I',m 72, and I've been using this product for about four years. A little bit of it goes a long way-- a jar of it lasts me about 7-8 months, using it two or three times per week. I have very oily skin, even at my age. The oilier your skin is, the better this product works. It lasts longer on oilier skin. I get about 14-16 hours out of it. I use it without the brush. I've found that I need to apply my creamy concealer first, then wet my finger and rub it along the product, and swipe it on my face, under my eyes. I sometimes have to use a very fine brush (wet it first) to do "touch-ups" if a see a bare space where the concealer disappeared. I also use the same fine brush (wet) to pick up any excess product--those white spots or lines. It takes a little practice to use this product so that it appears completely natural, but it is worth the effort. I've tried many other products that claim to tighten up the ditches under my eyes, and they couldn't hold a candle to Athena 7 Minute Lift. This product is 100% effective--it completely tightens up the considerable trenches under my eyes, so that the whole area looks smooth, as if my under-eye area were about twenty years old again. I plan to keep buying this product as long as they make it. I think it is a terrific alternative to surgery or fillers. No risk, no pain, no needles, just a smooth wrinkle-free, ditch-free under-eye area. The price doesn't bother me because the product lasts so long. I add water to it and mix it around if it starts to dry out. You can restore the product in a couple of minutes with a little water and a toothpick to stir it up.

Like many people, I was skeptical to buy this for the price. I will spend good money on my skin care, but only if I feel pretty confident of the results.THIS ACTUALLY WORKS. I do not feel it is due to organic herbs, as the advertising will try to make you believe. It is a skin tightener, clay based as far as I can tell, but the entire ingredient listing is not on the packaging. As it dries, it contracts your skin and tightens up your wrinkles. I guess Athena feels it is not glamorous enough to call it a skin tightener. I have under eye sagging and wrinkles, and I use this whenever I get that tired look. I think the results are slightly different depending on how your skin is. For me, it creates a little bit of tiny creasing very close to my lower eyelashes, but this is much less noticeable than my natural wrinkles and creases. My mom also uses it, and her results for crows feet are excellent.I also cannot claim that my wrinkles have decreased over time, but I also only use it about 3 times a week. Skin tighteners are a temporary remedy, but as some other reviewers have said, even at this price, it's a fraction of fillers or surgery. This is a good thing to get you through the years until you work up to surgery, or for the days when you haven't gotten enough sleep. I've had my jar over a year and have about 25% remaining. I will definitely order it again. Then again, if I found a plain old skin tightener for significantly less, I would try that too.

I guess the reviewers who gave this a low score can't read. If you are getting an egg-white look, you are using too much. It barely takes any of this stuff to work, which means the jar lasts a long time. I am 41 and have average wrinkles around my eyes. If I put this stuff on a clean face, without any moisturizer or sunscreen on, it totally fills in the wrinkles. But that's the down-side...I wear sunscreen and makeup.A work around the manufacturer suggests is to put this stuff on OVER your foundation...as a last step. So if you wear sunscreen and a cream or liquid foundation, you will need to put this on last. So I just dot on a tiny bit after my foundation and...voila...no more wrinkles.Of course, this is a TEMPORARY solution...will wear off. Duh. There is no permanent solution to wrinkles, only semi-permanent from a face-lift, or short-semi permanent from Botox.I like this stuff because it is ALL NATURAL...no toxic chemicals and it DEFINITELY DOES WORK if you follow the instructions.
