Really tasty and good quality
Very tasty, comes in 4*250g bags for freshness, great level of dehydration to succulent ratio making it nice and chewy but not so chewy you're annoyed at it.

Varnish smell
I was ordering this product but on my last order one of the 4 packets smelled of nail varnish. After asking Ai it turns out the varnish smell is due to the biltong not being dried properly during the process of making it. I doubt I'd buy again. Shame as the other 3 packets were ok. Can't risk it again as its quite expensive and they dont except returns via Amazon

Great quality soft biltong
I’ve purchased this biltong 12 times and each time it does not disappoint. This is the highest quality and affordable soft biltong that you can find online. I’ve looked at the reviews and I find it hard to believe that this biltong is bad as I’ve bought it many times and not a single time have they disappointed me. I would definitely buy more if a promo was added but I do understand biltong is not cheap 😉

Taste is subjective - good quality biltong
The price is very reasonable so I was nervous to order. I like that the biltong is not overly moist and there is very little fat if any. Good quality meat. I would recommend this for body builders as a high protein snack. I am reluctant to recommend it to people who know biltong and love that good old South African taste. But taste is so subjective - maybe try it for yourself. Taste wise: one of our friends who has never eaten biltong loves it and was very impressed. He munched his way through 500g in about three days! However, two of us who grew up with biltong thought it doesn't taste quite like one would expect biltong to taste. It is hard to define what is missing - maybe it's the seasoning, or I detect a kind of vinegar taste which is unusual. It is deffo very meaty. And nice. But I would not order it again based on the taste.

Great biltong
Lean which I really like, sliced in varying thickness, some chunky, some thinner, moist - so I separate it, as I lean to the dry side (but occasionally like it moist too), so I can have both. Comes wrapped in 4 separate packs, so very convenient for storage. It’s an excellent buy. I also buy another brand, very different taste etc but equally good, I’d not chose between them only mention it because one type isn’t going to ever satisfy all tastes, even for one person. Much like coffee, I drink it full/dark roast and black, no sugar, and buy and enjoy it from different places, ordering exactly the same thing, just different versions of it. Hope that makes sense

Condistency
Convenient to come in 4 x 250gr bags. 1 bag very very dry. Almost too hard to eat.

Should have listened to the reviews 🙄
Don't let the price suck you in. Its too good to be true. Everything looks good at first. 4 vac packed packets of 250g, quick delivery and on opening it seemed good. Not much flavour but was very lean as stated for the higher price compared to the more fatty product. Ate about a quarter of the first 250g pack and then rolled up and sealed with a crisp packet sealer. (Plastic clamp type packet sealer). The next day (about 12hrs later) opened the packet and immediately the smell had changed. Mild chemical smell and the meaty, beefy biltong smell was gone. Tried it and it was definitely different. Not a bad taste but I could tell something had changed. Resealed and back in the cupboard. Took it out the next day and I didn't need to open it to know it was bad. (Pretty much 30hrs after opening). Visible whit mold spot growing quite heavily inside the packet. Opened it up and the smell was not good. Really chemically with that smell of badness. Not good. Binned the lot. Big fan of biltong and have enjoyed ordering from lots of different suppliers as they all have their own recipes to try. Have had packets open for 3 or 4 days before with no issues at all. Do yourself a favour, pay the extra that we all normally pay per kilo and you'll be happy.
