Awesome results!
Awesome stuff! Easy to use (just paint on with a brush, let sit, mist with water, remove excess from tile, stand back and admire your results) and with a great outcome! Such a difference from the dingy, inconsistent grey-brown. The grout is now truly black and it looks brand new. Plus there's enough left in the bottle to do another whole bathroom. Will recommend and use again.

Great but time consuming
We grouted the kitchen backsplash in light gray but it just did not look right with our counters so we decided to paint the grout. It took hours and hours to paint, wait to dry and then scrub the tiles. It was hard to wipe off once dry but the end result was worth it. It looks exactly how we wanted. Just a lot of work, be prepared. Lots of elbow grease needed.

Follow instructions and watch YouTube videos
This is not a dye..it’s a grout overlay and works very well if you install it correctly. Be patient, follow instructions, don’t use too much water when cleaning up, do small sections at a time, etc. This made my bathroom look 10x better. I’m very happy with it and would buy again.

My shower floor looked like soap scum discolored the grout but we haven't even ...
Yes it is BLACK as stated. I used it to correct brand new contractor installed tile with black grout that somehow dried to a variety of black, charcoal & light gray grout lines. My shower floor looked like soap scum discolored the grout but we haven't even used the new shower yet.The bedroom & shower look great now and I sealed the grout to preserve the look. I did as one user suggested and wiped off the excess on the tile edges right away using a damp micro fiber cloth. That worked well, if left on too long, I had to rub harder to clean the porcelain tile. Be careful if your tiles are slate--that was harder to clean off . I got hot so I turned on the fan but the dye started to dry too quickly so I turned off the fan and did only small sections at a time.At first I applied it with a toothbrush but it was wider in the center & got dye on the tiles so I switched to a cheap eyebrow brush that was the same width. For sealing the grout, I used an eye shadow brush which worked well. If I need to use the black again I'll use an artists paint brush or thin eye shadow brush because I has less mistakes & it was faster to apply.

Maybe not the best for penny tile.
I’m on day two of a 6x6 bathroom and have no idea how long it’s going to take me because my arm and hand are too sore to continue.I have used a grout colourant before, a different brand and had zero issues with it. The only reason I didn’t used that brand again is because the black was poorly reviewed as being a true black, which is what I wanted. I purchased this based on the reviews. I did a very small test area and it was ok. Then I did 1/3 of the floor. That’s when I knew it was going to be a huge problem.I started at exactly 30 minutes of set time to begin cleaning and it was really hard to get off. I should have been able to do light circles and have it clean, I grouted my tiles and almost all of them kept their full circle shape, the grout was not up on the tiles. If I scrubbed too hard to get it the colourant off the tiles, it pulled off the colour off the grout. I made sure I could go back and use my finger nail to make sure I could scrape the colourant off (like you can with latex paint) and it was removable. The more I cleaned, the more I had debris, little flecks of the removed grout colour. I realized that it was not worth trying to really clean the tiles, just do as best as possible because those flecks, when wet, are incredibly hard to pick up with the sponge. Also, when those flecks are wet, they then stick to whatever tile they are on. Little flecks everywhere. The solution. I have to paint with a very tiny brush the areas where the grout came off trying to clean the tiles. After the grout dried for many hours, I went back through a section (and tried another section today to make sure) using a plastic gift card, started scraping the tiles back into their circle shapes. When scraped dry, the flecks can be swept up. Cleaning these, to make them look as the once did, is going to take days, it’s painstakingly delicate because if I hit the grout, it pulls the black off. I have one more section to colour, I can’t even think about another scrub with how sore I am, let alone gift card detailing. I might begin to paint areas where grout was removed, that I should be able to do.Do I love the look of the black? Absolutely. Is this less work than if I had removed the grout? I’m not sure. What I do know is there wasn’t a risk of damaging tiles like there can be when removing original grout. Directions were followed, I even bought the pre cleaner. I’ve also done this before on this floor, so this was an unexpected epic pain. I wish I would have gone with not as black product that I know is removable. Other people have had amazing results, I think I will too, with a ridiculous amount of effort and patience. I hope this product is long lasting.

Wish I had done this years ago!
We have quarry tile installed 25 years ago. The tile is indestructible so it still looks like new but the black grout looked washed out and gray in places. I applied this on with a toothbrush with ease. I did not leave it on for the recommended amount of time because the quarry tile is porous and will absorb the color. 15-20 mins. worked fine and the black came off the tile fairly easy. I used a spray bottle of warm water and misted the 4x4 area after waiting the 15-20 mins. with a nylon scrub pad and then wiped the floor to clean off the excess with a clean damp cloth and then wiped it dry with a towel. The floor looks brand new. I would highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to bring their tile floor back to its original state.

Product was no longer liquid
Not only did this grout colorant arrive 3 days later than I was originally promised, it came entirely dried out. It looks like it might have frozen and then dried out. No idea but you can see by my photo that the content was crumbs and not liquid. Very disappointing quality control.
