Good quality, best strength for starting out.
This is one of the three exercisers in the set I bought. The set is 3 different strengths. 1.5 lbs, 3 lbs, and 5 lbs. I bought these for my son to strengthen is fingers for playing the violin. I already had a 9 lb model, which was much to strong for him. The 1.5 lb and 3 lb are useless for us. He can easily completely compress them with very little effort. I'd say if you are using them for rehab, or have very weak hand strength they would be good. My son is 11 and the 5 lb model was the best as a starting point. I ended up getting the 5 lb and 7lb in addition to the 9 lb I already had. Obviously it's going to be different for each person, but I thought the lower models were just too easy to make them useful. The quality of the product is good, it also comes with an instruction sheet that shows different ways to use it depending on what you want to accomplish.

Very Well Worth the Purchase
I broke my finger a few months ago & needed surgery and physical therapy (still in PT). I've managed to get most of the contraptions that my therapist, uses. This is one the most useful gadgets that she uses on me, so I found one here for home use. WOW! It is working like a charm! My singer's. strength and dexterity have greatly improved. My therapist says that it's especially useful for musicians, especially guitarists who have injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome and mild arthritis. I'm none of the above, and could've made do with therapeutic putty. Despite that, I'm very happy with the purchase. It's sturdy, and it arrived ahead of schedule. My ONLY regret is that I didn't buy a set because my fingers have nearly outgrown this one & soon I'll need one with more PSI. It's a wise investment for those who have my above listed finger ailments.

I have carpal tunnel and arthritis in both hands
I have all manner of hand exercisers but this one is a bit different. It actually exercises each finger if it is used properly. I found that if I squeeze it with just my finger tips, like if I was playing a trumpet, instead of choking up on it with my whole hand, this is a much more effective exerciser. It will show you just how week your pinky finger really is. One problem with this style hand excerciser or should I say finger exerciser is it is not adjustable. The resistance is set and color coded. The red one has 3 lbs resistance. The green one, the one I picked up on a Lightning Round has 5 lbs of resistance and so forth. So when you build up your strength you will have to buy the color for the next higher restance. This could get expensive. Even so, I would highly recomend this for anyone starting out or trying to improve finger strength to play the guitar, especially an acoustic. Maybe even a brass instrument. I don't play any musical instrument other than my stereo and my personal listening devices so it's just a thought. But the concept is sound. I would suggest that you find the right color for your needs and plan on stepping up to the next color as needed.

Great Quality!
I bought this Digi-Flex because I was using it in PT. I wanted one for home and it's the exact one. It fits in my hand easily and is well built. I would recommend this one and pay a bit more, because it should last a long time.

Great design, great product
Got this as a gift for my husband and he loves it! He has problems with some of his finger joints, so the separate springs allow him to work his fingers individually and focus on problem areas as needed. Too bad it isn't sold as a pair-- it would be faster to work them on both hands together, or let someone else use one! (I haven't seen it since I gave it to him.) ;-)

Excellent grip strengthener
I used the Digi-flex while in PT for wrist arthritis related weakness. As a massage therapists I need to keep my hands strong and this tool was one of many I used to rebuild my strength. I highly recommend starting with a light resistance and build up as high as you can go. I started with the 1.5 lbs then moved onto the 3 lbs and finally up to this 5 lbs. I'll be ordering the 7lbs soon. I love the option to work each finger individually or all together.

Don't start off heavy since fingers have no tendons. Work within your comfort level and build up as you can.
This handy tool is great for not only working hands but your wrists as well. Ordered the medium under my physical therapist recommendation and find it works great as an exercise and as a way to reduce stress.

I like that I can click each finger at a different time as they are separated individually. After I broke my wrist and got the cast of I had to get my strength back in my fingers. This digi-flex worked amazing

Excellent for what it does, however the keys are not quite wide enough, and my fingers (ex. man’s size large glove) interfere with the next keys on both sides, ie my fingers don’t fit cleanly on their own key. Therefore product slightly too small for me, even though I don’t have particularly fat fingers.
