Logitech G G305 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse

It's been the best mouse Ive had (I'm a 44 year old gamer). I bought it in 2020 and its kept up fine. Only recently started to have sensor and drop out issues. But its a bargain. I'm looking for something lighter to replace it, otherwise Id probably buy another one. With the AAA to AA plastic adapter, the weight is approx 89 g but you have to buy this separately. I'm now looking for something <50 g.

A very decent wireless mouse from Logitech here. It feels accurate and reliable both in productivity environments and in games. It's comfortable for long use and is robust enough to take plenty of accidental floor drops.Set up is no nonsense: dongle in and off you go. Battery life is excellent. Although, I must say the little indicator light colours that sometimes appear on top of the mouse are a bit esoteric in their purpose. I did read the manual and learned what they meant at some point in the past, but promptly forgot it all and haven't been bothered to reference it again! For instance you'd think the occasional appearance of a solid red light when switching the mouse on would mean battery low, but I've still had batteries go on to live for at least a month or two after seeing it so who knows! Whatever, the light is tiny and barely something to notice.Another minor gripe is the lower side button is very exposed and knocking against your thumb, your keyboard, drink or whatever else happens to be there will click it a little too easily. In windows that can mean hitting "back" on the internet browser. Just a small thing which to be fair, all mice with side buttons are prone to.It doesn't have the coloured LED bells and whistles of fancier gaming mice found on the market. That's no loss if the 'bling' is doesn't matter to you. If you're an e-sports level gamer who needs some sort of super-programmable feather-light beast with 18 customised buttons on it and 1ms lag, then I doubt you're reading this page to begin with! For everyone else, you'll get all the necessary FPS game performance you need right here. I find six buttons is about as much as my brain can track when gaming anyway. Any more and I get too muddled!At time of posting, expect to pay 30ish quid for it making it a great sweet spot offering and a lot of mouse for the money. Much more expensive gear will offer increasingly small performance increases, and cheaper gear is likely to have major issues of reliability and quality.

Pleased with this mouse fits nicely in the hand and plenty of DPI settings. For anyone wondering you can download the G HUB software to fine tune. Great for gaming with it's precision and lightweight design.

I’ve been using this wireless mouse for the whole month and I haven’t had to change the battery once, honestly, this thing is magic!The movement range is excellent, and not having to worry about being restricted by a cable makes you feel much more free when using it. It moves smoothly and responds well.I also really like that it’s comfortable to use with either hand, making it a versatile option whether you’re left- or right-handed.For the price, I’m genuinely impressed with it and would happily recommend it.

2021-10-02: Despite the design being over 3 years old, this wireless Logitech mouse is still the best replacement I could find for my decade old trusty Logitech G9x. Which I used without either grip; despite having only slightly smaller than average 18x9cm hands, I need a low profile, narrow, symmetric mouse to avoid hand/wrist pain(s).At 40mm, the Razer Orochi was just too rounded for my hand. Its off-putting sensor position felt odd, too. And like the Viper Mini and Deathadder minis I tried, *all* the Razer mice had QC issues with uneven feet, or base moulding, that made them wobble a little on hard surfaces.This G305 is rock solid, but still *slightly* too tall with the cover on. So I've simply been playing without it! The compartment is rounded and my palm doesn't really touch the edges of the slot. This isn't quite perfect; I'd prefer a couple of mm more at the back, still, for a touch of extra stability. Just not the hollow dome at the top. But my hands are picky; I can see why this mouse is reviewed as suitable for any grip style and hand size.Removing the cover sheds 8g of weight. Also, jamming a highly compacted little cylinder of kitchen foil in the back of the battery slot allows easy and stable use of a standard AAA battery, too. Further reducing the weight by another 12g, half of an AA battery. Lithiums even lighter (~4g off the AAA).The G305 doesn't glide perfectly smoothly, but it's fine on my Logitech cloth mouse surface and it's easy to buy 3rd party replacement feet if desired. Buttons and wheel are all pretty good. Sensor and lightspeed wireless connection are suppose to be the same as on the (first) G Pro wireless. So I have effectively have a G Pro for half the price, with the easy modification matching the weight too.The software works OK, provided I just use the old "Logitech Gaming Software". Not the new G Hub, which has an appallingly convoluted menu layout and just plain would not work for simple profile switching and changing buttons for me. In the old software, it seems like G Shift functionality is there (surprisingly). But it won't let me unassign LMB or RMB altogether in shift mode. So it's kind of pointless, as one loses the shift button's use as well, leaving only 3 other buttons that can be modified (including the DPI switch).

Been using this for over 4 years now, it really is a faultless gaming mouse. The responses are rapid and there is never any delays. It is very lightweight for a wireless mouse too and has a great ergonomic feel due to its compact size. It offers fantastic stability and has a great minimalist design too. I've always been a fan of Logitech so I may be a bit biased but if this one fails on me I will absolutely buy another one.

I bought this mouse after waiting 12 days for delivery. Just after 1 week if use the left click died. Very strange to see big brands like Logitech delivering such poor quality products. Luckily this happened under the return window so i have initiated a refund.
