Great Value and Quality
The quality of this tape measure is really good. It’s such excellent value to have. The retraction is pretty smooth. I’ve had tape measures before, but this is amazing. Gets the job done efficiently and it’s easy to read. Doesn’t smear off over time.

CAD and CAM friendly
It's been a very useful tool for reference measurements in base-10 Imperial. Speeds up the transition from field measurements to CAD inputs.

No fractions such as 1,
Description stated fractional. It was not. No 1/4, 1/3, 3/8, etc were labeled

Any good machinist should have this in their pocket.
The scale is great for saw cuts and other quick measurements around a machine shop. The graduations are clear and easy to read. The tape remains locked when the lock is engaged but not so tightly that you can’t move it if you’d like with modest resistance. Only giving it 4 starts cause I miss the die cast metal cases, the plastic case has held up fine living in my pocket around the shop over a year now, however I prefer the heavier weighted feel of the metal ones from years past. Over all this is a great tape for someone working in manufacturing or another field where you are more concerned with decimal measurements and fine graduations than an ability to measure long distance.

Surprisingly accurate.
The first 6" are in 16ths and .020 thousandths. It's actually pretty accurate for a tape. Well worth it.

Not the best for CNC work.
It's a decent tape measure but isn't exactly what I was looking for. The markings for hundredths are only on the first 6 inches. It also has fractional markings opposite the decimal ones. Since I started doing CNC work, I've come to realize that the last digit in 1/16th of an inch represents ten thousandths of an inch which is pretty meaningless. 32nds are even worse with the last digit of 0.03125 being hundred thousandths. Putting fractional measurements into the software makes for a lot of math and rounding. I'll still use it; I didn't have a 12ft tape measure, but I'm going with the Aldrich Engineering version for CNC use.
