Got a great deal on mine and I needed a chair that could be stowed when space was needed. This fit the bill perfectly. I was concerned that the fabric seat would rise on the sides too much and feel awkward but it is taut enough where that doesn't seem to be the case. I also like that replacement canvas is available and easy to install so you can change colors as needed. I have my doubts about this as a chair that you can really lean back in and relax with as the fabric back wants to collapse some but sitting upright at a table is just fine. I have no regrets as that is what I bought it for. It is as comfortable as a director's chair could be. My only criticism would be that the foot rest screws in place and prevents you from folding the chair and putting it away. It requires you to unscrew the two screws that hold the foot rest in place to fold it. And for me the foot rest is a must have. Maybe I'll try to find some wing bolts to use instead. Also, the arm rests are just wood so one upgrade I made was to purchase some inexpensive armrest pads that fasten on with velcro. That made a big difference and is a low cost upgrade.

I received as gift and when assembling for my son to bring back to College after spring break, I chair was in good shape as ordered and the 2nd chair was split on the leg where it comes to the base of the seat. It indicates we are out of 30 day return window on amazon and hoping someone from casual home that sold the chair will reach out with some assistance. I think this is a good chair but disappointing one was received damaged especially since there wasn't any visible issues with packaging. Please be awesome casual home and help!!

Got these chairs so I can eat at my kitchen counter and not have to invest in a dining room table. I saw another review dress her chairs up so I decided to do the same. My studio apartment is mermaid theme and these chairs fit in perfectly with the trim I added! The chairs feel sturdy when I sit down and I’m about 225 lbs. I also love that they have a foot rest since I got the 24 inch height. Assembly was super easy. Took me less than 10 minutes to set both chairs up. I also use them when I’m doing my makeup or hair in the mirror so they are pretty versatile

I really like the design of this product. It was the best-looking chair no doubt, especially with the hunter green accent! I would buy it again, but I will say that the only pushback I have was with the instructions or simple things on putting it together. Each thing had a specific thing that fixed it, but before I figured that out, it was frustrating me. The first issue was when I was inserting the seat cloth, it kept getting stuck on the wood inside the grooves, because there would be sharp edges inside the grooves that would get caught on the cloth. If the cloth was covered in a thin plastic, it would make it a lot easier. The trick was on this one, if it gets stuck, lift it and pull forward, and that seemed to work. It took me about 3 extra minutes to get it to got the last inch haha. Not a huge issue now that it is put together. The other issue I had was pushing the metal connectors down. You have to push them down so they are flat according to the instructions, but it doesn't say in the instructions a specific way on how to do this. Since they are thin and metal and close together tightly, I figured that pushing them down with my hands was not a good idea as to avoid cutting my hands. So the first thing I tried was using a hammer and tapping them down to see if that worked. That did not work, so then I tried using my hands against my better judgment. Luckily, I did not cut myself, but I used all the force I had to try to push them down, but I still couldn't. I was literally shaking and my face turning red with how hard I was trying to push them down with my hands. But still nothing. So I stood up, took a breath, and then it finally dawned on me to stomp on them to push them down! This is a trick my Dad taught me when changing a car tire and you need to loosen the lug nut off the wheel. You stand on it and jump up and down if you have to to loosen the lug, and that is how you do it if you cannot move it with your hands! Doesn't sound super safe, I know, but you're only a foot or less off the ground, so best way I know haha. Anyway, that was the key. It finally worked when I stood up to the chair, put my foot on the metal bars, and pushed them down with my leg. Like all humans, we have a lot more strength and muscle in our legs than in our hands! So, after finally doing that I was able to push the metal bars straight and install the foot rest, and now I'm happy! So I just wanted to post this review, so that if anyone buys this, they will save 5-10 minutes of frustration trying to figure out how to put this together. It wasn't many steps, but just little things like saying use your foot to press the bars down instead of press the bars down goes a long way, and hopefully the company can update the instructions. Very elegant retro directors chair. Reasonably well built. The canvas is separate and can be swapped with other colors. Two minor flaws, the seat canvas grooves are a bit rough, which may hinder a easy insertion of the canvas and initially thought the canvas is too small, which hinders unfolding the chair entirely. The later is half intentionall, since the canvas will stretch. After a few days it works as desired.
