DMC Hug This Teddy Bear

I bought the blue teddy bear. The yarn was definitely a cotton- not one i would use for a baby item but there was plenty for something else. Was a dk weight. Not worsted. However, I bought it for the bear and wrapped it around a different item. I wish they should the animal huggers separately. Yarn was not useful for me.

The pattern was really nice and I collect teddy bears so I loved it. I am going to order a few of the other ones.

I liked the presentation, but the yarn is more of a cotton blend and not enough for a average size baby blanket. I would of liked another skein. That said, the blanket was made for a friend’s baby shower and the new parents loved the handmade blanket with the lamb holding it. All the new baby pictures sent ,that blanket is in the background !

So disappointed. It arrived damaged with some sort gray or faded black stain on the face. The “fur” around the eyes is very sparse inconsistent with the rest of the body. There’s no way I can give this as a baby shower gift.

Item as described. Love that idea of a blanket toy kit. Can't wait to make it

This is a very cute idea, but the yarn is more like floss/ thread than yarn. It is not very soft and takes a long time even to make a small baby blanket, Personally I prefer a soft yarn for a baby blanket. I hope they will consider redoing these kits in a softer yarn in a larger gauge.

I am looking forward to doing this project. It did not come with the crochet version and it was not available on the DMC website. I wrote to DMC and they sent me the missing pattern.
