Excellent product
First off, this is the best e-collar that I have had the opportunity to use. I have tried or tested Tri-tronics, Dogtra, and SportDog collars in the past. The Einstein collar is by far the most user friendly and effective design. While the round transmitter is unconventional looking, it has a nice feel in-hand and all of the controls are ergonomically located on the unit. Having the ability to define the amount of boost is very helpful when having a big dog that needs a little extra simulation. And the ability to control the light on the receiver from the transmitter is very useful in low light conditions. Due to the fact that I have a very dominate large dog (100lb+ Pitbull), I was intrigued by the claim that this unit had the highest amount of stimulation of any e-collar on the market. After testing the Einstein collar on both myself and my dog, I can say that the ET-800TS definitely provides ample amounts of simulation. Even with a very stubborn and strong dog in prey drive, I have never had to go above %60 of max power. And for normal low-level training a setting of 12 gets the job done. Now for the best part about Einstein e-collars; outstanding customer service from a US company. I have been tremendously impressed by the level of customer service I have received from Einstein. My first experience was calling the company when I was trying to decide which collar would work best for my circumstance. The customer service representative I talked to was very friendly and spent quite a long amount of time on the phone with me. He took the time to go over all of the different models/features and answer all of my question. After I purchased the ET-800TS model, I called the company again to inquire about smaller electrodes for my short haired dog. The nice lady I spoke to on that occasion informed me that Einstein carries a micro sized electrode that does not normally ship with the stock collar, and she priority mailed a set of them free of charge. On the last occasion, I contacted the company through the main email address listed on the Einstein website about a battery issue I thought was occurring with the receiver. Within 24 hours, I got an email back from the president of the company addressing my concerns. The next business day, Einstein shipped me out a brand new receiver with prepaid return postage for the old unit. All I can say is WOW! For most companies, it is difficult to just get a live person to talk to you on the phone. Einstein definitely goes above and beyond in the customer service department. If you are on the fence about what brand of e-collar to choose, I would absolutely suggest Einstein. The unit is comparable or better then the other name brands, but with a far superior customer service department.

Great for training
I have spent money on cheaper models here, only to have them stop working or be completely ignored by my dog. I test them on myself first so I know what my dog is experiencing. My dog's behavior has completely changed with this collar. It has made daily training much easier. I rarely have to use the stun anymore, as the vibration is enough to get her attention and get her back to normal behavior. I did invest in the long-hair attachment since we like to keep our Goldendoodle with a longer coat. Battery life is good. We remove it nightly and power it off overnight. We charge it about every 4–5 days. The size and weight are much bigger than the cheaper counterparts, but we have had no issues since it is effective and our pup doesn't seem to mind it. Overall, my only regret is not starting with this instead of wasting money and effort on the other units.

I had them doing pretty well after over 6 months of on the trail ...
I have already used this system on off-leash hikes over 20 times since I got it earlier this month. I have two large shepherds just over a year old. I hike mountain trails with them off-leash. I had them doing pretty well after over 6 months of on the trail and standard training from the age of 3 months. They did well until they learned to spot the deer, that is! When they did they bolted and were long gone, one time for more than 15 minutes. This was a very dangerous situation as we hike in bear and lion territory with some very steep terrain. I needed a solution. I did some research and decided on the Educator two dog system. It is well-made tool that combines the option to vibrate only, mildly shock the dog (let's be honest, that's what it does, although this isn't as bad as it sounds to some people) and to boost the shock. The shocks are user adjustable from barely perceptible to a fairly strong jolt. I tried it on myself first on my bare arms and legs. On the lowest setting of 1 I couldn't even detect it. At 10 it was a very mild shock. On the highest of 100 it was a decent jolt, although nowhere near traumatic. My 11 year old Godson tried it at 100 and it sure got his attention, but he laughed. My dogs responded well in back yard training with the setting at 8. I set the boost to add 35 (for a total of 43) when on the trail if a deer was spotted. After back yard training we went to the trails, and the first time the dogs spotted a deer on the trail they bolted, I yelled "Here" (a long rising pitch "Here" works better than "Come" for me) with a jolt at 8 and there was no response, I yelled "Here" with a boosted jolt and they both turned right around and came back to me. I consider this tool a potential life saver. Knowing I can hike with my dogs off-leash yet still control them is extremely important. This tool is expensive, but the quality justifies the price. The plastic is very tough, tactilely pleasing and cleanly made. The control buttons and knobs are tight and strong. The water-seals are quality too (I leave the system on when they go in water). I

Daily use for dog parks and off lead walks
Our second one. The first one lasted 3 years, until the receiving unit failed. It is a great ecollar for keeping our 75lb Lab disciplined.

Best Investment Ever
It's been almost three years now since we purchased this e-collar set, and we still say it's the best 300 dollars we've ever spent. We had two large (100 pound) dogs we frequently walk off-leash in the forest, and after the younger one almost got kicked in the head chasing after a bull elk, we admitted to each other that we needed more instant control than just voice commands. We felt like training failures, but we got over it as soon as we saw how effective and non-traumatic this training tool is (when used in moderation, obviously). We tried it on ourselves first, just to see what we were doing to our boys (fair's fair, after all), and at 15-20, it's about like getting a static shock from the carpet. Not really painful, but you don't want it to happen again. It's definitely attention getting, which is the point. At the higher settings, it hurts, and I would only ever use those for actual dangerous emergencies. Then again, every dog has a different pain threshold, so using the lowest setting that gets their attention seems reasonable. The range on these collars is excellent, and with a combination of both negative and positive feedback (zap when they ignored the recall command, treat and praise when they came back right away), we had control back over both dogs simultaneously within two days. The younger one went galloping after a herd of elk again on the second day, and with the collar, we were able to get him to stop in his tracks and come running right back to us, even in the face of such massive temptation. The older, naughtier one would tear off to visit the neighbor's girls two miles away if we looked away from him for even a second, and he'd been running away on us during walks for years: this solved that problem forever, and though he never stopped wanting to go over there, he only ever went when we gave him permission after we got these collars. Both dogs were able to roam safely within our line of sight with these collars, and they came back instantly when we called them. After only a few instances of heavy zaps, we were able to set the collars to vibrate, and they usually responded to that warning well. The younger one, who has been trained with his collar since he was about six months old, now has much better recall both with and without the collar. The older one made the connection to the collar almost right away and only ever recalled well with it on (or in structured obedience settings), but he was an uncommonly smart and stubborn dog. The variety in the controls is great: it's easy to switch to a more noticeable zap on the fly if whatever has their attention is more interesting than us, and it's fantastic to be able to have both collars set to different settings on the controller (we barely ever used it on the older boy, but when we needed to, he only responded to a higher setting). The battery life is also perfectly fine. We only ever use it on walks, and these aren't designed for constant use, anyway. Overall, I can only say I wish we'd gotten these collars earlier. Highly recommended with careful and judicial use.

outstanding design, outstanding materials, outstanding functionality!
I am not easy to please when it comes to form and function. A e-collar must be waterproof, easy to use, have a light, Be programmed to just vibrate, or "correct" at the smallest level- be useful on both my aussie rescue puppy and my obnoxious pug who can't stop barking and jumping on people. This baby is worth it's weight in gold. My heavens I can't believe how well this works and how great the design is. With a layard around your neck - this lightweight but fierce little piece of equipment is easy to learn how to use, is designed so you don't mistakenly shock your dog- and won't mistakenly OVER shock your dog. You can lock the levels. It took me 2 minutes to learn how to use and already my aussie puppy turned and came to me when she saw a flock of wild turkeys cross the road instead of take off and be missing for 20 minutes in the reservation because she followed her instincts into the wild and beyond. Now she sits and looks to me when a deer pops out of the woods instead of chase it in front of a car. I used it to "free leash" her in the park. No longer did she try to yank me down the trail to meet the other dogs- or pull me around when she saw horses. Thanks to Einstein ET-800TS I have a pack of the most well behaved dogs in the whole county!! Heavens I am pleased when a product is made with good materials, is designed well and does what it claims. Bravo Einstein!

Make sure you need this one (You probably don't).
The collar worked well, but was too strong for my dog. This collar delivers 35% stronger stimulaton at 100 (settings go from 1-100) according the the head of the company in an interview I watched. They recommend this collar to Police K9 handlers in order for the dogs to feel the stim in high-drive situations, like bite work, where the dog is amped up and excited. That's great in those situations, but that also means the low-level stimulation is higher as well, though I'm not sure how much. My 70 lb. German Shepherd was showing me a response at level 1-2, once I got the collar fitted properly. The collar was the other issue I was having. The receiver is larger than the mini-educator in order to house the larger antenna, battery and electronics. The collar always ended up under her chin within a minute of putting it on. I had to really tighten the collar down to get good contact (my dog is tall and lean rather than stout and shorter). The collar seems like a great piece of equipment, and I am ordering the E300 Mini Educator made by the same company so I will have some range in the stimulation at lower levels, and for the smaller, lighter receiver.

Grateful for this tool
I never thought I’d use an e-collar, but I’m so glad I learned how to use it correctly and took the chance… so is my dog! I have a super smart, independent Pyredoodle. We started with entirely R+ training style (and I would totally do that again), but he’s just so opinionated and while he knew all of the cues he would only follow them when he felt like it, regardless of the reward being offered or the danger of not listening. He started developing some normal, but not ok behaviors and I worked with 3 different trainers to varying degrees of success. Some of their suggestions on dealing with these issues were alarming. After doing more research and following several dog owners and trainers using e collars, I decided to give it a try. We have just moved to a rural location and I wanted my dog to be able to safely run free without dragging me or a super long leash behind him. I ordered this and an online course. I was so nervous, but I tried it on myself right out of the box and determined that when used on the low numbers it was more annoying than painful. We have been using it for about 2 months and the results are fantastic. We almost never have to go above a 10/100. And now that he understands that I can back up what I say, I almost never actually have to even press the button. Problems we had since day one are gone, he still gets tons of treats and is so much happier with the freedom he now has. It would take too much space to write all of our experiences, but I can honestly say that this collar has made our relationship better, we’re both happier, and it has literally saved my dog’s life and did so in a far more humane way than was suggested to by one of my trainers. (Definitely get the bungee collar replacement, huge improvement over the standard collar band.)
