🌟 Brew Brilliance Awaits!
Looking to get mare temperature control out of your brew? Add a weld less thermowell to your kettle, stock pot, mash tune, keg, kegged, or any other device you choose. The inlet accepts 1/2 inch male pipe thread and seals using a 3 piece weld less fitting with 304 stainless steel parts and a food grade high temp silicone washer. A weld less thermowell protects your thermometer and best of all it will also accept the digital temp controller on the Johnson Controls A419 controllers often used in home brewing.

flocculate trub
I have not done any experimentation whether these work or not. I use a fine mesh basket to hold the hops but still get a lot of sediment. These tablets are supposed to help. But normally I just wait till fermentation stops and let things settle (conical fermentator) and then rack to secondary before transfer to a keg. This gets rid of most of the trub though the first 1/2 second of beer flow from the keg has residue. I don't mind but you can always just pour 1 oz and throw it away if you don't like it.

Works great
I used this for a 5 gallon batch (half a tablet) for a porter. If you can’t “cold crash” due to equipment limitations this helps greatly.

worked but not as effective as expected
settling out an unusually cloudy beer. note that this a brew i have done several times with the same effect but this time tried the tablets. actually did remove about 80 percent. i then cold settled the beer for a week and it was then a very clear dark amber. before the tablets it would take 2 to 3 weeks to settle. so it definitely sped up the process.

Helps make clear beer
I've used whirlfloc tabs for a long time now. These work well to help your beer end up clearer. I use one tablet for my 10 gallon batches.

Worked great
I have been home brewing for a few years now but never really was too concerned with the clarity or removing all the sediment from my beer. I have an event coming up that I am providing the drinks and I know a lot of people will not be familiar with drinking home brew so I wanted to create a beer that is clear and as sediment free as possible. Since I didnt have any experience with this kind of product I wasnt too sure how it was going to work or what kind of results I would get. Here are my results:Use 1/2 a tablet for a 5 gallon brew. Dropped it in with about 7 minutes left in the boil and after it finished cooling all the trub had gathered nicely in the bottom of the brew pot which made transferring to the fermenter a breeze! For the average home brewer these may not be for you if you arent worried about the clarity of your beer or sediment in the bottom of your bottles. But if you want to get the clearest beer possible, this is definitely a crucial part of the step. Now these alone will not get your beer completely clear or sediment free, but they will really help.
