This multimeter is simple and easy to carry around. It’s been really helpful for my coursework and quick electrical checks on equipment.

For work we are issued the brand-name multi-meter shown in the included photo. This meter is re-calibrated yearly by my company's lab, last done two months ago, and I used it to compare readings obtained with the Crenova MS8233D. You can see the size difference between the two devices in the photo. I purchased this for home use only: checking AC & DC voltages; testing a fuse; or for checking continuity of a circuit. At a tenth the cost of my work issued device I was happily surprised at the quality and feel of this little unit. The test leads included are the same size and have the same quality feel as my work unit. Also included was a second set of leads with alligator clip ends. Both devices are laid out similarly and easy to understand. When comparing the AC output voltages at the same duplex plug, the Crenova was consistently 1/2 volt higher (see photo). The devices were switched between upper and lower sockets and this test was duplicated at six different outlets/circuits with the same results. I also tested four different batteries, 9-volt &1.5-volt, and the readings were consistently 1/10 volt higher. Checking the resistance of a fuse, both units had similar ohm readings. The product manual does list the accuracy variations, which my readings seem to fall within, so not a deal-breaker, but I did deduct one star. Bottom Line: if your line of work requires a professional model multi-meter, this may not be it. BUT, if like me, you are looking for a home-use / hobby device that has a lot of features, you can't go wrong with this unit!

This inexpensive multimeter is a major upgrade for me, considering that I have been coping for more than 40 years with a couple of fragile 1960s vintage Radio Shack Micronta analog meters which work very well when the cables aren't broken (and they do break, often.) The Crenova multimeter has a rich feature set and solid construction. The Hold and Max functions seem very useful, the cables appear to be quite robust. I almost deducted a star for the documentation, which is presented in retro-Engrish translated from Chinese. The entertainment value doesn't quite offset the often confusing verbiage and features that are not documented. OTOH anyone who has a basic understanding of how to use a voltmeter, ohmmeter, and ammeter should have no major difficulty figuring out how to use this device right out of the package. Although it seems intuitive I am troubled by a lack of explanation on the use of the test lead storage features on the back - It's obvious that the leads slip into the vertical slots, but what is the purpose of the horizontal cuts in each lead slot? They seem the right size to perhaps be used for temporarily policing the wires to a shorter length while the meter is in use. Some mention of them or illustration in the Quick User Guide would be appreciated. Another conspicuous omission is any mention in the book of the required 9V battery (not supplied) or how to install it. Again, not a real problem for someone who has any experience with multimeters (obviously an internal power source is required,) and the battery specification is stamped into the battery cover near the conspicuous Phillips head screw. It's not rocket science, but someone with no prior knowledge might be temporarily stumped or have to seek assistance. I'm giving it a full five stars because of the good quality and excellent value for the price. I definitely recommend this product for someone who needs a good but not super high precision instrument, or one that can measure very high voltages - This one is limited to 250 Volts with protection theoretically up to 600 Volts.

Happy with the product. It is accurate enough for non-technical laboratory work. I used it to find excessive battery current drains on my wife’s suv when the car was off causing dead batteries and no starts. I also used some of the other functions such as frequency checks, diode polarity, high and low voltages over time just to see what it could do. It performed very well, it is not my Fluke but ny Fluke costs many many times what this one costs. Definately would buy again.

Very handy and works great. Does the job. Every owner of an older car needs one. I like the fact that it doesn’t require using a phone app to operate. Great old school design. It includes 2 sets of wires, one with a point and the other with alligator clips.

A good deal, a lot of features for the price

I bought the Crenova MS233D to replace an old multimeter from Radio Shack that was going wonky. This one has more capability than I'll probably ever need. I tested it with various voltage sources, and it seems to measure accurately. Easy to use, with a clear, easy-to-read back-lit display. Auto-Ranging. Comes with a storage case, a set of probe leads, and another set with alligator clips. Seems reasonably well built. Well-written user manual, unusual in a product from China.

A good and flexible multimeter for the cost. Works great. My only complain is the alligator clamps are way too strong, they'll cut through smaller wires.

他の方が音について書いておられますが、ダイヤルを回した時に「ピー」というブザー音が鳴ります。 やや大きめの音で、音量の調節や消音ができない仕様みたいなので内部のブザーを外すことも考えましたが、 以下の方法で強引に音量を小さくしました。 【使ったもの】 ノートやチラシなどの紙 テープ プラスチック下敷き（加工しやすく固くて平べったい物ならなんでもよい） １００均で売っている隙間スポンジテープ 【手順】 ①背面の電池カバー、側面を覆うラバー材、背面カバーを外す。（ブザーがあります） ②丸めた紙をブザーの穴奥の金属板にあたるまで突っ込む。 （ブザーの金属板に圧力をかけて音量を小さくするので、紙は隙間が無いように丸める） ③ブザーの穴から上１ｍｍくらいのところで、突っ込んだ紙をカットする。 ④ブラスチック下敷きをカットしたものを、③でカットした紙の上に置き、テープで固定する。 ⑤テープの上と背面カバーに隙間スポンジテープを貼る。 ⑥背面カバーをネジで固定し、電源を入れて音量を確認する。 まだ音量が大きい時はスポンジテープを追加する。 スポンジテープをいくつも重ね、無音にすることもできましたが、導通チェックの時のために 多少音が出るようにして使っています。

明示されていない家電の電源ケーブルの極性を調べるために購入。 きっかけは、けっこう古いコードレス掃除機（N社時代のコードレスキュー隊）なのですが使い勝手がとても良く 大変気に入っていて長いこと使用していました。 ある日、何個目かのバッテリーが寿命のようで直ぐに残量が低下するようになり、いつものように近所の電気屋に 発注したところ、さすがに交換バッテリーが入手困難で諦めるしかない状況になりました。 またある日、コンセントに極性があることを知り、オーディオの音が向上するらしいとのネット記事を散見し 見て分かるコンセントプラグは全て極性合わせをして見ました。 こちらの掃除機も型が古いことが幸いしてコンセントプラグに極性が明示されていたので、すんなりと出来ました。 翌日、驚きの出来事が・・ 掃除機を充電台から外して始動すると、いつもはバッテリー残量表示が3個あるうちの1個しか点灯していなかったものが 3個とも点灯（フルチャージもどき？）。吸い込む勢いも不具合の無い時と変わらないレベルになっていました。 今のところ運転時間や吸引力には不満が無い状態で使えています（別の安全上の不具合が心配になります）。 その経験があって、僕の中で家電で出来るものは全てやりたいという、やる気スイッチが入りました。 PCやPCモニター、４KTV、BDレコーダー、オーディオ、空気清浄機に至るまで出来るものは全て極性を合わせました。 驚きの結果です・・ 極性合わせをしたあとでオーディオの音はスッキリと、４Kモニターは処理速度関連の性能上の問題と思っていたものが 応答遅れの様なチラツキがほとんど無くなり明らかな改善が見て取れました。 ちなみに極性合わせ以前からフェライトコアも電源の要所に入れていて、そちらの向上効果分がベースになっています。 気のせいの部分も有るのかも知れませんが自分の中では満足できるレベルです。 補足・・ 極性合わせが出来ない物の中で多いのは最新の家電で、メーカーに問い合わせたところ極性に左右されないように 出来ているとの回答でした。が・・ 回答をしているのはエンジニアではないため信憑性に乏しく、他の方法を探したところボディアースの電位差から 判別する方法があるのを知り、こちらの商品を購入するに至りました（前置き長くてすいません）。 AC/DC対応でμAから測定出来るので、微小な差も判別でき、不明だった最新家電も判別可能になりました。 自身の所感として、チリツモのノイズ低減効果の賜物ということで、現状で音も映像も大満足です。 特筆は・・ 目で見て分かる４K（２Kのアップコンバート）映像は今までとは全く違い明らかに良くなったので 例えるなら有機ELTVの店頭デモに近づいたかも？液晶TVなので明るさは勝っているレベルといった感じです。 大きな達成感を喜びと共に感じることが出来ました！ テスターの詳細インプレじゃなくて申し訳ありませんでした。 ご参考まで。長文すいませんでした。

長い間アナログテスターを使ってきましたが各レンジ設定とメモリの読み方には慣れが必要です。 今回初めてのデジタルテスター購入ですがレンジ設定がオートで数値も一目瞭然、スイッチ類も使いやすく この価格でこの機能は素晴らしいです。 類似製品が結構ありますがこれを選択した理由は価格と機能の他に「サイズと重さ」が一番コンパクトでした。 一通りの計測値をアナログテスターとで比較しましたが結構正確で個人用途には全く問題ないと思います。 星が4個なのは、購入画面の説明にある「電子版日本語説明書」が見つからないため結局英語版でなんとか理解しました。 ※追記 この後すぐにメールで日本語版説明書が届き、対応の速さに驚きました。 出来れば、メーカ又は販売店のサイトで説明書のダウンロードができるようにしてもらえるとお互いに便利かと思います。
