As expected
This is a cone chalk, perfect for billiards playing. The gentlest touch applies a reasonable amount of chalk, and it dries the skin and slides on the cue; perfect! It is JUST the chalk, it's important to read the description; the picture shows a chalk holder, but it's not part of the deal. I purchased one separately at the same time I ordered the chalk.Mine arrived in one piece, packaged appropriately, but you can see that it would be easy to break. Being very lightly held together makes the chalk come off easy, but the loose, uncompacted nature of the thing makes it structurally unsound. It would be completely unsatisfactory for billiards if it was like a stick of chalk, they are solid by comparison but also don't get much chalk on your hands. You need crumbly soft chalk for this application, and that's exaclty what you get.

This is the exact chalk I was looking for.
These chalk cones used to be at each pool table in the bowling alley where I first learned to shoot pool! It's a nice soft consistency and glides onto your hand nicely. Yes, it's a little messy (I keep mine sitting on a frisbee!), but I think it's worth it! It really keeps your hands dry so your pool cue glides nicely through your fingers. I'm sure this is what the pros use! It's also handy for weightlifting and gymnastics as a substitute for a rosin bag. Hot that I ever participate in those activities!🤣

Broken
Chalk was broken in half and about 1/4 of the way crumbled when I received it

Good chalk but a bit messy
Mine arrived with a few dents but it was in one piece. When I unwrapped it, chalk went everywhere! This seems a bit less dense than others that I have used. If you rub your hands on it, you get way too much chalk on your hands. If you just touch it, you get the perfect amount. It works well but seems like it could be a lot more solid like some others I have used in bars and at tournaments. Will buy locally next time when needed.
