No more morning back pain with this wedge pillow.
This Wedge pillow has provided me with a low cost, comfortable solution to morning back pain. We have a fairly new mattress with latex and memory foam top, it cost us $1400. Since buying this mattress over a year ago, I never wake up thinking "I'm so comfortable I just want to stay in bed". Almost every morning, I wake up with pain just below the mid section of my back. I toss and turn all night, from my back, to my sides... I have two support pillows I've tried; one is a support to raise my knees when on my back and the other goes between the knees when on my side. Both are intended to help with back alignment; neither have provided any relief. When we bought our mattress I tried many options, laying on them for 15 minutes or more, multiple times; my wife was getting tired of how much time I was spending. Ultimately, I never found a mattress that I thought "that is the one!". So, we picked one that felt "OK". After a year of back pain, I pretty much hate my $1400 mattress now so I broke down and went to Sleep Number. The ability to adjust the firmness in a "Number" bed is a whole new game, I walked out of that store with the sense of what felt "right" for me; something I did not have the last time we bought a mattress. Now, telling my wife we need to replace our $1400 mattress with a $3000 "Number" mattress was like swallowing glass, it didn't go down all that well. In the mean time, I tried this Bamboo memory foam wedge pillow and... I have slept through the night for the past 10 nights waking up without any back pain. I use this wedge with a low profile memory foam pillow which seems to work for me; I suspect the combination of what pillow to use or not to use with the wedge will be different for each person. I have several different pillows (profile and material types) and each one has a dramatic impact on comfort though out the night. Some additional details: I searched many wedge pillows, I chose this one for the moderate 7.5" rise, memory foam layer, and bamboo topper. The rise is not extreme but relieves the pressure my bed applies, and as a bonus I suffer from post nasal drip at night which wakes me up choking; this wedge has also relieved that symptom. The memory foam top is subtle be noticeably adds comfort and the bamboo has a nice even temperature effect. The pillow had some off-gassing which after 10-days is almost gone; All memory foam does this and I can deal with it although off-gassing may bother some people more than others. If you can place a fan on pillow during the day it will help the smell dissipate quicker. These features combined with the price and prime delivery (I received it in one day in the North West) appeared to be the best option when I was shopping, the past 10 mornings without back pain have been wonderful. I still want a number bed but this $40 investment was well worth it!

Comfortable memory foam composition.
I purchased this wedge pillow for head, neck and upper back elevation. I already own one from another seller but it is hard with no give, very uncomfortable. This pillow is made of memory foam, absolutely perfect in soft comfort with support. I think the height is perfect for my needs. It is not as wide a my Queen sized memory foam flatter bed pillow but I can work with that. And it doesn't crowd my husband in our king sized bed. It does not come with a pillow case. Please note this. It does have a true cover but I feel I need to buy or make a couple of wedge pillow cases for it. That is my only problem. Thankfully I own a sewing machine and pillow cases are simple to make. Overall great price for comfortable wedge pillow.

Comfortable and it works!
I really love this wedge pillow! I purchased this because I needed to sleep elevated due to GERD (acid reflux). I wasn't sure how comfortable it would be to sleep on a wedge, but I have found this particular wedge pillow very comfortable! (I've tried others that I returned.) This pillow gives enough support and pain relief while I sleep, while still being extremely comfortable to sleep on. This pillow is 7.5" inches high, which I've found to be a good height for me. Others are higher, but way less comfortable. And I like that the bamboo material that covers the pillow is breathable. The cover is also removable for washing. I did purchase an actual pillow case made for this wedge and I like sleeping with it more than without. Also, when I opened it from the package, it immediately puffed up and had no chemical smell. Easy to use, comfortable to sleep on, pain relief, and durable. This wedge pillow is a great purchase. I definitely recommend this pillow.

Snore no more!….
Ordered this for snoring issues — inherited from my dad. But as a 5’2” woman, this was troubling. Especially when your husband of 20 years can’t wake you to stop snoring and sleeps in the guest room. This trend has ended with this wonderful pillow! He reports that my snoring has stopped (3 weeks and counting) and he can remain in our bedroom all night. Yay! The pillow arrives tightly compressed but it unfolded with no problems in about 40 minutes. It is very soft (memory foam) and comfortable for me, but may be too soft for heavier people. This is true for my husband. We ordered a similar wedge pillow for him (different brand) that was much firmer and which some customers said they returned for being “too hard.” The firmness of the other brand was perfect for him — he sank into this pillow so much it provided very little lift or support for him. But I found that this pillow gave me plenty of support, and the gentle rise to 7” at the top was perfect for me. If you are considering a wedge pillow for acid-reflux issues (like my husband), then the lift and support are key factors in your choice of pillow. Take into account your size and sleeping habits. The smaller size was also perfect for me — my arms rest comfortably on the pillow all night and never fall off. When ordering, we considered the pillow dimensions because we knew feeling stiff if your arms fall off the wedge during the night, you can wake with stiffness or feeling uncomfortable. Again, we ordered the larger size (different brand) for my husband, who is 5’10” and has wide shoulders. The pillows come with a removable, zipper cover, but it is quite tight-fitting. After reading about the problems others had trying to fit the pillow back into the cover, we ordered pillow covers (different company) that fit the dimensions of our 2 different pillows. These were like regular pillow covers in that they were slightly larger than the pillows, so were easy to put on. They were also thick (400 count), all-cotton zippered covers and although we’ve only used them one night so far, I’m prepared to ordered a second set for us. One tip we can share about using wedge pillows: Don’t put the top of the wedge right up against your headboard/wall because then you can’t get the full benefit of the wedge's lift. After trial and error, we found that by leaving the top of the wedge about 3-4” from the headboard, we got a more comfortable night’s sleep — the head doesn’t hit the headboard and we got more lift. Our bed pillows are about ¼ - ⅓ off the top of the wedge but that seems to work best for us. Highly recommend the Bamboo Wedge pillow. It has been a life saver for me.

Comfortable and High Quality but…
I purchased two of these wedges and unfortunately one of them hasn’t fully expanded even after 5 days of being out of the packaging. I’ve tried to contact the seller for support and have yet to hear back.

Works well if used as directed
Mine arrived yesterday and it seems well made. I read all the reviews about the off-gassing smell when first opening so I opened mine outside and I couldn’t smell anything. I left it out there for a few hours and it was fully inflated and didn’t smell at all by the time I came back out. It’s important to take it all the way out of the vacuum packaging to get fast inflation. Now I’m lying on it in my bed and it is remarkably comfortable. I’m about to sleep on it and I’m really hoping it will help my upper reflux. Eventually maybe I can save enough money on Tums and Pepcid to pay for it. I got the smaller one and it is pretty big. It takes exactly half of my Queen size bed in width. 7 inches high feels like plenty for a small adult like me. Very happy with it so far. I’ve had it about a week now and here is my verdict. It is very comfortable for sleeping on my back but it didn’t have a noticeable affect on my GERD issues. Also, you have to put a pillow under your knees or you are just inviting lower back pain. . But I am a full time side sleeper and I just couldn’t make peace with being on my back all night. The wedge is not comfortable for side sleeping at all. And since it’s not helping my GERD, I’m giving it up and I’ll see if it might help reduce my husband’s snoring. 💁🏽♀️ New update: I finally realized that you are supposed to put it UNDER your mattress. This made all the difference. In this position I could sleep comfortably on my side and I notice a real difference in my upper esophageal GERD symptoms which lasts all day. I’m very very happy with it now!

OMG! They Work
We were initially put off by the 1-star reviews of so many of the wedge pillows, and the huge cost of some of them. But we wanted to try wedge pillows for therapeutic reasons, and carefully read every review on Amazon and elsewhere. We chose these pillows for the overall high reviews and the reasonable price. We noticed an instant improvement in sleep quality. This is not simply a subjective assessment; we wear sports tracker watches and they immediately reported more deep sleep. We also noticed that we fall asleep more quickly and, if we awake, fall back to sleep more quickly. One of us snores and one of us is a light sleeper (bad combination!); we also noticed an instant reduction in snoring. Perhaps it's even an elimination, but we honestly don't know as we're both asleep. One of us has reflux problems for which medicine is needed. It's too soon to tell, but we think there may be improvement. We both noticed that we are much less stuffed up on awaking. One of us has had a portion of the hard and soft palate removed (cancer). This makes it difficult to sleep on one side, as saliva accumulates where it shouldn't; this problem has almost been eliminated. We like the cover supplied with these pillows and have bought spares from the same supplier. It is a bamboo fibre blend that is soft and feel cool to the touch. However, we both use a thin pillow atop the wedge pillow, mostly to avoid having to wash the wedge pillow cover as often. We have tried it without the added pillow and can confirm that the memory foam layer is about right...not so thick as to be heaty and thick enough to provide some comfort. As some reviewers have noted, the memory foam has a smell; it's kind of like fresh paint smell. We noticed it was quite strong the first night. The next day we put the pillows on the patio table under a fan. The smell was much reduced. After three days of this there was no longer a noticeable smell. We knew this would be an issue, as all memory foam has this smell; we've researched it and are satisfied that while it is unpleasant it is not harmful. The pillows are rolled very tightly and covered in plastic, looking kind of like a big sausage. Opening the package is a little tricky and the pillows might easily be cut if using a knife. We found that working the blade of a pair of scissors under the plastic on the end opened it up enough to tear the rest of the plastic open.
