Easy to use and effective way to humidity in difficult areas
The good points:Very small, easy to pop somewhere to measure local temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure and dew point (the temperature when condensation can be expected to form). It's a great way to be able to help determine whether your problem, for instance - behind kitchen cupboards adjacent to an outside wall in an old house, inside a boat or in a garage or Carcoon protecting a classic car - is one of humidity or rising damp. Bear in mind conventional DIY damp testers measure electrical conductivity, not dampness, and are usually affected by salts or other chemicals in concrete, render and suchlike. They are really designed to be used on wood. Yes, they can be a useful guide, but don't rely on them to give definitive result. If you have high humidity, you may need to look at increasing ventillation to clear the problem, or maybe increasing the temperature (a small wattage tube heater may suffice). At least this tool gives you more information to make a decision. The device downloads to a log which can be updated as often as you want and this is easily set in "settings". Once you have downloaded the app to your phone and set it up (which is easy), you can get almost instant readouts from the device. Yes, it initially takes time for the data to settle, so don't expect instant accuracy. The data updates frequently and at the predetermined time is recorded into the log.To create a log, tap on the device identity you have been looking at and you will be taken to a screen inviting you to download the log, which is simple to get into. A major plus is that you don't need to designate your phone purely for this duty for fear of losing data. You can carry on with your normal life, phone in hand, and all the data collected by the device will be downloaded next time you create a log. You can then delete any old logs, just keeping the latest, complete, one if you wish. It's easy to toggle between the log screen and the device screen or vice versa - buttons at the bottom of the screen. The device can be switched if not in use, but I haven't tried that yet.Fabulous customer service if you need more information or help. The instruction card gets you up and running and shows how to change the battery, but not much more.Points to bear in mind:It's a very small transmitter so its range is not great. You may have to bear this in mind if the device is located behind panelling or similar - anything that might make it more difficult to communicate through. You might just have to get closer to the transmitter, maybe leave a clutter-free area close to it on the cupboard floor. Also, working kettles, microwaves and suchlike will cause difficulty, but normal service is restored when they've finished their jobs. You won't lose data during any of this. Conclusion:I have been using one of these for a week or so and found it to be a really helpful aid to determining what the problem I face actually is, and using it to explore some solutions to it without having to call in the experts - or at least calling them in just yet! It's a cost effective tool that's largely intuitive to to use, informative and helpful.I have no brief for the company making or selling the gizmo, but it seems they have identified a gap in the market for those who would otherwise be forced to call in experts, rely on damp meters that are unsuited for the job (although, as stated above, they can be "helpful") or spend an awful lot of money to buy professional equipment. They seem to have tried hard to produce something that is both useful and sensibly priced and I have no doubt it is of good quality.I am not known for my love of leaving reviews, I refuse to get involved with social media and therefore don't do this lightly, but I can recommend this product to you if, for whatever reason, you need to monitor temperature, humidity or dew point in a hard to reach area, you want to compile data logs on the issue or you just want a bit more information on what might be causing you angst.

Doesn't work, no customer service
The app has an obvious bug that means it doesn't display dates properly. The dates and times which are logged are incorrect, meaning the csv data is useless because I can't tell when the data points refer to, and it logged temperatures of 0C and 1484C, in a centrally heated house in April, on Earth. I've tried contacting the company and not even had an acknowledgement of my email. Waste of money.

Great little device. App could be improved.
Tempo Disk works exactly as expected. The measured humidity differs from my dehumidifier by maybe plus or minus 5 and is not unexpected, nor is it an issue. Customer support is excellent. No problems with range either through a brick wall or through a timber floor. The latest version of the app, Tempo Plus 2 (version 1.2 as I write) has much the same functionality as the previous app Tempo Plus (version 2.0.3). One criticism is that the "Commands to Device" option expects a text string which presumes you know the command syntax. Tempo Utility, the app before Tempo Plus, had buttons for the commands, things like Airplane Mode, Transmit Power and Alarms. Perhaps these and other functions exposed in Tempo Utility are not supported by the latest hardware but they offer a tantalizing glimpse of options accessible in the earlier app but not the latest - unless the command syntax is published somewhere and I simply haven't found it. Realistically though buttons are easier.A minor niggle is that when changing the logging interval the value defaults to 600 irrespective of the current setting. It would be better if it defaulted to the current setting.Overall nothing major to mark down. The last app update was 10 August 2019 so still in active development. In the hope that the app will get a few more bells and whistles I'll go with 4 stars.

Tempo Disc to be used as a monitoting system.
This disc is to be used as a monitoring system behind fitted wardrobes in pre 1940 bungalow. During refurb of the bedroom black mould was found in the space between the fitted wardrobes and outside wall. This was caused by a lack of ventilation behind the wardrobes, tests of the walls indicated no rising damp. The new wardrobes have been designed with ventilation access. What was now required was a form of ventilation, this will be provided by a 30 watt extraction fan mounted in the roof space and a ventilation grill in the ceiling behind the fitted wardrobes. The Tempo disc will be mounted on the wall behind the wardrobes, this will provide information on the environmental conditions behind the wardrobes so that the extraction fan can be scheduled to run at the required times to maintain an environment which prohibits the growth of mould. Access to the Tempo disc will be via the ventilation grill in the wardrobes. At the moment the Tempo disc is mounted on the wall in the area where it will be finally installed. It is giving me very good data at the moment allowing me to build a data base. The operation of the disc is simple and very reliable as I have checked it with other room monitors. Had one slight problem, not so much with the Tempo disc but with my phone and app, one call to the customer service and it was sorted within 10mins. In summary excellent piece of kit with excellent backup service.
