Trimble / TDS Recon 200X/400X AA Battery Power Boot Module

I use an old TDS Recon data collector (no longer manufactured) for my total station and have had issues with both the battery and chargers failing. It is hard to find a replacement, as the unit is no longer being manufactured. This is a great backup for emergency use, and it takes easily-available batteries.

Was very sturdy and plugged right up, fit right in place, then i noticed it didn't have the usb port, but did what i needed it to do.

I have bought two data collectors and three battery packs. With this module I can leave the unit on the shelf until I need it in the field, place in two batteries and know I have enough power for over two days of field work and a couple hours office time.

Works as advertised. OEM rechargeable batteries are getting more difficult to find and the remanufactured ones only last a few months at best. This eliminates the problem.

This battery pack works great, I get about 3 days in the field with two AA batteries. Great as a backup battery.

Much better than the rechargeable battery that just dies after a year. This has worked good for me.

I didn't even realized something like this was on the market. It's perfect for "backup" or full time use.

Works just as I expected in GPS receivers. Long recording time when lithium batteries are used.
