Philadelphia's Favorite Scrapple (4 Pound Package)

I was speaking to my mother one day and I don't know how it came up, but apparently, when I was a toddler, I had to have a piece of scrapple with every meal. I don't quite remember it that way, but what's the use of arguing.This is just amazingly tasty and surprisingly easy to make. You cut a piece off, dip it in flour, and fry it in a pan with just a pinch of butter or oil. The outside will begin to brown and then you have to carefully flip it, which can be a little tricky. Goes great with eggs and home fries.This item went to my Mother who just flipped for it and called me laughing hysterically.

I was so happy to find this scrappel on Amazon. It's nowhere to be found in the southwest. It arrived in good condition and still cool to the touch. (Of course, it's February. I wouldn't try this in August.) The texture is perfect. The flavor is a little mild. We add a sprinkle of poultry seasoning to both sides of each slice before frying. It really enhances the flavor. Delicious.

I gave special instructions to label my food item “refrigerate immediately” and deliver to the concierge. It was delivered to my door, not the concierge, not labled “refrigerate”, but simply “Perishable” and the ice packs with it were totally melted.so my scrapple was no longer cold.

In my experience most Scrapple tastes more or less the same and for me that means delicious. I love the stuff. But this particular brand has another plus in addition to great flavor. It does not break apart in the pan when it's time to flip it over. It remains intact and it browns beautifully. One other note. The shipping is good. The product arrives surrounded by a foil covered insulating material and two freezer packs which keep the scrapple well chilled while in transit.

I purchased this for my mother who grew up in Pennsylvania, she remembers getting the scrapple from the same company when she was a child, she said it was very good, just like she remembered, I will be ordering it again for her.
