I’ve been in mortgage business and MBS almost 20 years and this is first I’ve seen with this amount of practical info. This is very narrow specialty so hope you get enough purchases.

As someone who has just joined the industry, I found this to be an invaluable guide without which I'd have struggled to get up to speed. The book is well written, with complex ideas explained in a clear, simple and easy to follow way. My wife ordered this book for me, and unfortunately the packaging was a little damaged when it arrived, so I'd probably have knocked off half a star were this allowed.

A comprehensive but easy to follow book on one of the key subject matters of today. Suleman Baig is a natural writer who has put together an excellent piece of work that addresses complex processes in a clear fashion. A must purchase for those in this sector.

This book helps you to understand the purpose and motivation of securitization and the necessary steps in order to prepare and to close a deal. That said, I have no experience with securitization and I am sure that after reading this short book, I would probably understand the purpose of the different parties but I am also sure that I am in no position to actually fulfil the necessary tasks.The general information about ABS is available on the internet for free and if you actually work for bank and learn it on the job, you would not need guidance from such a book. Thus, I am not sure whether this book is really of any value for a practitioner.

Very useful and clear introduction into how to the steps of structuring a securitisation. For those already working in the market, it will be quite low level on the whole, but given the various aspects of securitisation from the legal side, the credit rating agencies, internal banking issues,etc I expect a lot of agents involved in securitisation would find something to take from this book, and for the less experienced it would fill in a lot of gaps concisely and simply.
