The knife is the perfect size for many kitchen food preparation activities. It is very sharp and keeps is edge is properly cared for.

I needed a good utility knife, I am in Culinary school. It has served me well so far. Messermeister knives are not new to me. This is a great all purpose knife.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my wife. She loves it. With this 6" knife and it's 5" counterpart, most all of the small kitchen tasks are easily handled. For slicing and chopping we have a Messermeister 6" chef knife and a 7" vegetable cleaver. Both very nice knives as well.Use care with the slender tip of this knife. I bent the tip when I speared the breast bone while halving a chicken breast. This was misuse, not a fault with the knife. I have since ordered a cleaver for halving chicken breasts. I was able to straighten the tip and it is as good as new.

Excellent knife

At first I loved this knife. Unfortunately, it became dull too quickly and I only washed it by hand. Not worth the money.

I bought this knife for myself and like it so much, I've bought one for each of the younger gals in the family. Some are good cooks. Others, well, otherwise. Maybe this will encourage the not-so-good cooks to enjoy meal prep more. And the good cooks will enjoy the task even more. How can you not win like that! RWD

Needing the right tools for the job includes the kitchen. This knife makes cutting veggies a breeze. The quality of the knife is excellent. I love it!
