Id suggest that flow rate would be at least 1,0m3 /h, if less then i think it will be problematic for pump. I have 2 them set up on line with electric pump with flow 3m3/h , with shut off pressure relay of 2.9 bar. Hard to tell, maybe dosing pump would manage with lower flow, higher pressure, but since my pressure relay turns off pump at 2.9bar, and back on at 1,5 I wouldn't know. Don't know if I answered you. Thought , I give you some numbers. But yeah, I would suggest main on line electric water pump to have atleast 1000L/h flow. Really depends on area that must be watered. I have 3 of them, so far im happy about them, will buy probably another one. To give some numbers what im using. Main electric water pump around 3000L/h, main 32mm pipeline around 50m then splits in 4 x 24mm and length 4x40, with drippers (needles) , dripper sum of flow rate is 1200l/h. With this set up if one dosing pump is used it works fine, but if I use 2 for, tank A, tank B then they work with irregularities , at begining they both work , some minute later one, then other one. Problem is back pressure. Id suggest to install them on pipe 32mm/30mm. I have them on 24mm bypass(lots of connections , more pressure), this creates back pressure, so my main pump turns off. Might be fine if you are using water pump with more flow rate, and higher working pressure. Hope i anwered you question.
