Trail Tech 712-117 Striker Speedometer Digital Gauge Kit with Volt Meter

Easy install just may need to get creative on where to install the the temperature lead. I installed mine on the exhaust manifold stud. Didn’t want to remove the oil line and would not fit, easily, on the spark plug.

Tried to install magnetic bolt into one of the brake rotor mounts on my front wheel hub, but the bolt head immediately sheered off using nothing but a small ratchet with a 6'' handle. Instructions did not provide any information about torque specs, installation tips, etc. Considering the location of these bolts its safe to assume they will operate under enormous stress during a typical ride; simply trying to tighten the provided bolt into this location was enough force to break the head off completely with one quick snap. I double checked the bolt size before installation.I must now spend a day trying to extract the bolt and rethread the rotor mount for a real bolt, or spend several days tracking down a replacement OEM wheel hub for several hundred dollars and re-spoking the entire wheel on a new hub.This is the last TrailTech product I will ever buy. You would think at a premium price point you would get quality metallurgy but that is simply not the case, its pot metal just like the kits available at half the price.

Great for a dual sport. I have mine on a DR650 and love it. Much lighter and more intuitive than the stock junk. Like the temp sensor as well. Nice to know when your getting hot.
