Nikon COOLPIX B500 Lens & Filter Adapter (Low Profile)

Had it on in less than a minute. Fits tightly and does not move. Way better than the two piece tube alternative where you have to add a piece for zoom, and take it off for wide. The lens cap that came with it doesn't have a hole to attach the lanyard, but no biggie. I just used the one that came with the filter set. A very good buy!

Barely stays on camera

Fits perfectly, now able to use filters on the Nikon Coolpix. Just need to be gentle when adding filters.

I like the Nikon B500 but believe that not being able to accommodate a filter is a major design flaw. A UV filter is cheap insurance to protect your lens. In short, this adapter works and allows you to install a 58 mm filter. I agree with a prior reviewer that it is a little expensive for what you get but its the only game in town. It consists of a molded plastic ring that is a friction fit around the outside of the lens barrel. It is moderately difficult to install but not terribly so. Be patient and line the ring up square with the end of the lens while holding the lens barrel securely. I had to hook the adapter slightly over the edge of the barrel but once it started I had no problem squaring it up. There is a small ring molded into the inside circumference of the adapter to indicate when it is fully installed on the lens. You can then carefully thread the filter on the adapter. This is where I had the most difficulty as my filter did not want to thread into the adapter. However, after several tries it worked. The key to the entire assembly is patience. Don't force it. The entire operation took about 3 minutes. I paired the adapter with a Lenko multi-coated UV filter and Altura 58mm Snap-On Center Pinch Lens Cap with Holder Leash. I purchased all 3 from Amazon. At $36.64 for the combination it looks good and it works

It did allow me to protect my lense with a filter. The adapter does not fit tightly, so when adjusting the lens or changing the filter the adapter comes out.

This is a great accessory. The camera company said that there were no adapters available so I tried this one. Fits perfectly on the camera lens and the filter fit perfectly into the adapter!

For one, as a prime user and payer and this being a prime product, it was suppose to take a week to get here. It ended up taking a week and a half because it got lost. Two, as stated in the description is was suppose to come with a lens cap; it did not. The product works, but honestly for the price you pay it isn’t worth the headache and definitely not worth the price since the cap wasn’t even included.

Great, snapped on easily, attached the 58mm Tiffen UV. Also 58mm 2 pack centre pinch lens caps, 2 pack cap keepers and Lifemate Red Vintage Pattern shoulder neck strap. All good.
