Sure, you can put them in the dishwasher, but a little dish soap and a rinse works too. The grey looks very modern, even a little industrial, if that's your motif. It's more masculine. The kitchen is my wife's domain, She's the chef and I'm the grill master. But there's nothing wrong with adding a little masculinity to the decor. I think they look great, but honestly I didn't buy them for their looks. I bought them for their functionality. The fabric hot pads had yellowed from hot pans. They were stained from spilled food. The edging was torn... it was time to replace them. These should last a very long time. The heat will not discolor them. Food will not stain them. These are a big improvement over the fabric that has been used for the past 100 years. It's time for a technological upgrade.

These work as a trivet for hot items but they are horrible to clean and to keep clean. Almost impossible. I ordered the square black set, came with 4. They are smaller than I thought but help keep my glass top stove from getting scratched. I just can't stand that they collect any little crumb and they look awful almost immediately. After cleaning them, getting them dry takes forever. And usually have to put them away wet or use them wet. Poor design I'm not sure why they couldn't have just been smooth?? The bees hive comb design is just terrible. I will use them only because I can't stand to throw things away and I would never give them away because they look awful.

They are overall pretty well made, however, they are a bit thinner than I imagined when purchasing. If holding a hot pan for a longer duration of time (other than just simply removing from the oven and placing on top) Your hand does get hot and if you are not prepared it will still burn you.Since this package came with 4 I find myself doubling up occasionally.But for holding a cast iron pan on the stove top while stirring your potatoes or flipping a steak they work wonderfully!

I bought 8 of them and I've been using these everywhere! There's a couple in the fridge for metal pots to rest on, some on the table doubling as coasters for large mugs and bowls, and of course some in the kitchen. They're awesome as coasters as even with really sweaty glasses the "holes" catch all the droplets and won't spill over to the table. These are very easy to rinse off when they get spaghetti sauce on them or you can stick them in the dishwasher along with the plates! I'm considering getting more of these.

I did not use these trivets as actual trivets. I’ve cut them in strips to use as padding under the clamps and brackets that hold my birdfeeders and herb pots on my metal deck railings. The screw clamps did not cut into or through the silicone, and therefore will prevent gouging, scratching, or damage to my railings.

In our office we have a microwave and a dishwasher. Bought these to handle hot items from the microwave and clean them in the dishwasher. This works well, just be aware that all the little honeycombs hang on to the water from the dishwasher for a long time, as you could imagine. a hook for hanging over an area unharmable by dripping would be a good plan. The hot pad goes into the microwave under the item to be heated and you can just pick up the whole lot and use the hot pad as a coaster. If anything spills, it goes into the dishwasher to be cleaned. Works well for our situation.

What's not to love about these? They are pleasing to the eye, made of quality silicone and have a million uses around the house. I have (what I believe to be) different brands of silicone trivets similar to these around the house and use them every day for all sorts of things and they just don't wear out and are super easy to clean

Nice and thick for heat resistance. A good buy.

These trident mats are true to color and are very easy to washout under tap and shake. They save your counters from dirt and mess and great beside the stove or micro. For hot dishes.
