Well designed functional light switch
Easy to install this switch and function as designed, face cover also included, worthy of its price. It has motion sensitivity adjustment and empty room turn-off mode. One feature perhaps outside of its scope I wish it also has is a light sensor that will turn off motion activation during daytime.

Works Great
I love these switches; simple to install and has two modes (auto-on or auto-off after manually switched on).Note that minimal auto off is 10 minutes. I see other models have shorter off, not an issue for my use though

Solved our problem!
We've been using a Leviton occupancy sensor switch to control our garage lights for over 5 years and it has worked flawlessly the entire time. However, we recently installed a portable A/C unit in the garage and the only place would could put it is about 5-6 feet from where the switch is (about 3 feet out and 4 feet to the side of it.) We noticed that every time the A/C would turn on so would the lights!I did some looking and decided to give this one a try. I wasn't sure if the lights turning on was being caused by some type of current 'surge' in the line or if it was actually caused by the switch detecting the air blowing from the unit. I went with this TOPGREENER switch because it requires a neutral (which I figured would be more reliable than ones that don't since they're basically bleeding off the line to the lights) and also because it has a sensitivity control on it.I installed the switch and everything appeared to work fine; initially no false triggering from the A/C and the switch functions perfectly. I turns on right away with motion, stays on continuously as long as there is motion in the room, and turns off 20 mins after the last motion event occurs. It also will turn right back on if I re-enter the room after it's gone off, even if that was just seconds ago. There are a lot of reviews indicating that it does not function this way, but maybe they have changed the programming in them. I'm not sure, but I do know it works exactly as expected. After testing for a while I did find that it would still occasionally turn on when the A/C cycled on, so I decreased the sensitivity control slightly and it has never happened since. My only complaint about this switch is that it does not seem to detect motion as well as my old Leviton switch did, especially off to the sides. Our switch is on the side wall as you come into the garage, so when we open the door we are at about a 45 degree angle from the switch; the Leviton would turn on immediately when door was opened and before we even had a chance to start into the garage whereas this switch requires us to actually walk through the doorway and take about one step into the garage before it turns on (at this point we are directly in front of it.) It also doesn't appear to detect motion at a distance as well, but I assume that is mostly due to my having to decrease the sensitivity, so I'll live with that. It will work ok for our needs and is a fair trade-off.One thing I really love about it is that you can remove the cover to access the setting controls without having to remove the wall plate! This is a wonderful design. Not the case with the Leviton. All things considered this is a great switch! It works for us and solved our unique problem.

Works great without a ground or neutral wire.
These motion sensor switches are exactly what I needed at a low price point for my older home. The fact that they operate without a ground or neutral wire made installation much easier than other brands I've tried. I’m giving them 4 stars because while they are more than adequate and very responsive, the instructions for the time-delay settings were a little confusing—but for the price and convenience, they are a solid value!

Fire Hazard
Cannot recommend these to anyone.I bought the two pack of TopGreener PIR Motion Sensor Light Switch. I only needed one for my garage, but I got the two pack because, why not? I'm sure I'll find a use for a second one eventually. My reason for buying these was so that my overhead lights (controlled by my switch and not my garage door opener) could sense when I was pulling my car into the garage, so that I didn't need to keep my overhead on when I was out shopping or whatever. These were fairly easy to install - they use push wire connectors and screws to secure. There is no neutral required, but I have a neutral in my wiring, so I used it. Hot and load are supposedly interchangeable, but I do a fair amount of wiring and know what connects to what, so I connected everything as labeled. Unfortunately, the first unit I installed only worked once or twice before it broke. The light would stay on indefinitely, even if I clicked or held down the power button. Only way I could turn my lights off was cutting the circuit breaker.Sometimes you get a defective unit - I get it. So I used the second one in my two-pack and after powering the circuit back up, it seemed to be working. The PIR motion sensor was turning on and off, the button was working. But after about two minutes of me testing it, the unit began buzzing, and then I saw smoke start to come off the unit. Luckily, I had kept the unit open and was standing right next to my breaker, so no permanent damage done to my home or my wiring, outside of the smell of burnt circuit board.I cannot recommend this to anyone, because I can imagine some poor DIY'er putting this into their wall, seeing the light turn on, and walking away, not knowing that they are about to start an electrical fire.

Great sensor, easy install
This is very easy to install, has good instructions and comes with all the necessary parts. When you open the package, it has 4 good quality electrical wire nuts, a white faceplate with screws, instructions and the switch itself. The switch is a little deeper than a builders switch, but not nearly as large as Zwave or Zigbee smart home switches, so should fit in any single (or multi) wall box with ease.I did not read the instructions, as each cable is specially labelled with a printed sticker identifying line, load, neutral and ground as well as having the standard red, black, white and green colored wires respectively. The wire is braided 20-22 gauge and is a little tricky to get into the wire nuts with the 2-3 existing heavy gauge solid core wires from the builders original install. The good thing however about these thinner retrofit is that they are very flexible, making the final aligning of the switch much easier in the electrical box when it gets screwed in. The length of the wires is around 3" + 3/4" is stripped off, giving just the right amount of room to connect without having to add extra jumper wire.Make sure you have a neutral wire, or this device will not work! Most recent house wiring will have the neutral and ground wires stuffed into the back of the box, with only the load and line wired through a basic switch. Its easy to find & undo the white (neutral) and bare copper (ground) wire nuts in the back of the wiring box, then just add the extra wires from this sensor. I only needed 1 of the included wire nuts & was able to use the originals for the other 3 connections. It looks great and the white matches all of my other switches in color and finish. I installed this in a pantry at the back of a 6" shelf where my existing switch was buried. The default settings for sensitivity and range work perfectly for a pantry, but I guess its hard to miss movement when you are 24" away, so I can't comment on range. The default timer needs to be changed, as it ships with a short duration test mode. This is easy to do by pulling off the push button cover and using a screwdriver to adjust. The manual shows larger, easier to read pictures of the dials, which are very difficult to read, as they are white plastic text on a white background in 8 pt font! It detects people in the pantry 100% of the time and has a rapid <0.5 sec response. I am using this with fluorescent tube lights with no problems. Have not tried incandescent, CFL or LED.Definitely recommend this product and I'll be buying more for my other closets and perhaps the hallwaysPRO - Easy install, white finish, good sensor, custom time/sensitivity/daylight, manual, faceplate & wire nuts includedCON - Difficult to read numbers on sensor dials

True occupancy sensor
I have many PIR-controlled lights in my house, ceiling lights, portable LED lights, Lutron/Leviton bathroom switches. Unfortunately, all of them have one annoying feature:"Light Switch will turn off the light after the set time elapses, even if motion is continuously detected."What I wanted is to have a switch with truly "occupancy sensor" mode, when the switch is ON while you are in the room. The TOPGREENER TDOS5-HL device perfectly does this: the time-out timer apparently gets reset every time the motion is detected, so it won't make you panic and convulsively wave your arms . It looks like the small front LED flashes every time it detects a motion, which is a very handy feature. It will, however, turn the load off if you keep being motionless for the entire time-out duration, which is difficult to do for 5-10 minutes.Among other pluses I would mention that the device configuration uses analog trimpots. They are not as accurate as digital controls, but who cares if the delay is 20 or 22 minutes? The advantage is that if you have a power interruption, you don't need to re-program all your switches while digital switches will reset to defaults. The sensitivity is more than good for a bathroom or laundry room. My load is a 80CFM exhaust fan and a light fixture with 3 bright LED bulbs.I didn't try it for larger spaces as a garage. The description claims 1200ft coverage. This means the distance of ~34ft, while the max setup on internal dial says 4 ft, which is contradictory. It looks unlikely that the switch will work in every corner of a 1200 sq.ft space, and some people are complaining here about intermittent functionality even at 10ft.Overall, the TOPGREENER TDOS5-HL switch is an excellent product, clear 5 stars.

Just what I needed and works perfectly
Excellent product. Installed it in wife’s closet because she would always forget to turn the closet light off. Motion sensor picks up movement as soon as u walk in closet and automatically turns it on and off. U can adjust the range of the motion sensor and the timer
