This product does function but the included tool set is pretty much a joke. The "spudger" tool is a waste of time. Plan on using something else to gently pry the original battery up. The one that came with my purchase bent and broke as soon as I applied the tiniest bit of pressure. The included suction cup must have been intended ONLY for the phone case removal (which was not needed.) The suction cup is WAY too BIG to be used to assist with battery removal. The only useful tools were the pentalobe screwdriver and the included curved end tweezers. The battery seems to be good and came with about a 30% charge. If there are any issues with the battery I will update this review.

I successfully installed this on my original iPhone 4S and it did not improve the battery life of the device. The original battery in my iPhone 4S (purchased September 2012), still had about as much life as this so-called new battery. I have been keeping the device in airplane mode (no cellular, no bluetooth) and there is still significant battery drain. I am not seeing any improvement and am extremely disappointed in this product.UPDATE 2018-01-03: After two weeks of monitored use, I found the battery life to be worse than the 5-1/2 year old battery in the iPhone 4S that I replaced. Disappointed is an understatement. I am returning the battery and putting the old one back into my phone until I can find another supplier or I will have Apple do the replacement which will certainly have a guaranteed outcome.

Our 17 year old daughter used the tools supplied with this battery, to replace the battery in her younger sisters AT&T iphone AFTER watching a 2 minute ‘how to video on YouTube’ ... I couldn’t be happier with the results! I would definitely recommend this to others :)

Received defective item. The battery was broken and one tool was broken as well. Wasting my time and now I returned this item and bought another one. If I receive another defective item. Here will be another one star review.

Not too bad to replace, followed a You-tube video and got it replaced.
