Size:2 Inch x 30 Foot  |  Color:White Economical, Highly Visible, Heavy Aluminum Foil Base Retro-Reflective Indoor-Outdoor Marking Tape suitable for marking warehouse, driveway, street, steps, sidewalks or anywhere durable markings are required. Create L shapes and T shapes to outline parking places for cars or create a box area to show where to place bins. A superior adhesive ensures this tape maintains a secure bond to asphalt and concrete surfaces through any climate. Thicker material for longer life in permanent applications. This  product is used by the City of Portland Oregon to mark downtown parking.   Conformable foil base and reflective glass bead surface reflects headlights even in wet conditions. Simple and easy adhesive installation with no paper liner to discard. No dry time, cure time, fumes or paint clean up.   This highly-reflective permanent pavement marking tape will resist fading, chipping and peeling much better than painted lines. Use a pressure washer or stiff broom with soap and water to clean the surface. Smoother is better. If the surface is very textured or porous a primer must be used to aid bonding. Always test a small area before completing the project. If it does not stick well then the surface preparation is incomplete. The edges can be sharp. Use gloves to apply by hand for marking of dry pavement parking areas. Roll a weight or vehicle down the line to conform to the surface of the road. A small roller or rubber mallet will help ensure the surface bond. The tape must be completely pressed into the surface edge to edge. You can drive on our tape immediately after you apply to the surface. Great for back up lines to aid parking of RV or boats. Good for marking uneven sidewalk hazards. Often used in a warehouse environments to add highly visible permanent lane marking and area organization.

Good tape but adhesion issues
The tape is very good in appearance and ease of application.. It's easy to trim to size and shape. The plastic beads are highly reflective. The tape adheres well and lies flat at first. But I'm using it to stripe the slightly curved surface of a speed bump, and the tape tends to lose its adhesion to the asphalt under heavier loads such as truck or trailer tires. Under these loads the ends of the tape peel up and the surface gets puckered. The speed bump is new asphalt but has not been seal coated. The tape would probably adhere better to a sealed and less porous surface. So far I've gone through two rolls (one set of stripes is about 24 feet--I pulled up the first set and tried a second time), and I'm afraid in the end I'll have to do the paint job I was trying to avoid.

It looks like it was sitting in someones van for a while
received item. It looks like it was sitting in someones van for a while. No plastic coating so I can't tell if some of it was used. Roll has dings and bumps making it look used. There is a 02-2018 date code on the inside of roll. Don't know if it was date manufactured or expired shelf life?

Works best in low-traffic areas
I purchased this tape for a concrete floor. The instructions recommended washing the floor, letting it dry, and then treating it with Concrete Cement (a thick glue). The tape has an adhesive backing which sticks well to the cured contact cement, especially when you use a roller. Due to the thickness of the tape, it is fairly easy for the edges to peel up and rip when the front of a shoe catches it, or if a tire rotates on the tape edge. High traffic areas will require replacement over time. Compared to the alternative of painting the floor, however, this is easy, and the reflective material make this useful in the dark.

Metal foil base with white reflective surface is best suited for indoor use
Metal foil base with white reflective surface is best suited for indoor use. The tape is durable, the adhesive is not waterproof when applied to concrete. The glue will not stick to wet concrete. Tape will release in common light rain.I must find some kind of waterproof glue to keep it attached. Otherwise,it is good.

Definitely NOT permanent.
"A superior adhesive ensures this tape maintains a secure bond to asphalt and concrete surfaces through any climate. Thicker material for longer life in permanent applications."Well, not quite. Don't expect it to last in wet, windy areas. Applied as instructed in driveway, including driving a car over it several times. It lasted less than a year and is coming unstuck.

This tape is easy to apply and highly visible - much better than ...
We needed a durable product to mark speed bumps in our homeowners association. This tape is easy to apply and highly visible - much better than paint. We tapped the surface with a hammer to set it into the pavement per the instructions. Time will tell how it survives the winter, but it seems to have made a very tight bond with the asphalt - it's hard to imagine it will peel. Seems to be a good solution for a difficult application.

Does not Adhere to wood very well
I use this for the steps on my deck leading to my pool, it does not stick to wood very well . I had the same product made by another company that was really good I wish I could remember who it was .

Bright and it works.
Okay, I put this down with nothing more than just sweeping the asphalt, so I can't expect it to last forever, but I bought enough to do it again. I am using this to help park my airplane in it hangar spot correctly. It works and was easy to put down.
