This wheel has four useable functions: 1) It has the face of the wheel for normal sharpening and is 1.25" wide. 2) It has the 1/4" radius on each side for sharpening hollowing tool bits and scrapers. 3) It has a total side face of CBN material on both sides of 1" for non-hollow grinding of skews and scrapers! 4) There is a 9 mm 90 degree gap (about 1/3 of an inch) space shoulder on the inside edge of the grinding wheel for making relief cuts or tapers on hook type scrapers or box scrapers.
