Best Budget Knife Hands Down
I've been carrying this every day without issue. Came razor sharp and is still very sharp. Opens very easily with the snap of a thumb and has never accidentally opened in my pocket. A unique profile but I've come to love the ugliness. I had to return a RAT before when it first arrived because the cutting blade was actually twisted (yes, like a warped board). Definitely check that out before you miss the return window or start cutting with it. Other than that, this knife has been the best budget knife I've ever owned and I actually just bought another RAT 2 in D2 steel but it hasn't arrived yet. The green one in my pics is the RAT 1 in D2, my current black handled RAT 2 is AUS-8. Buy it, you won't regret it!

Great knife.
It was my mistake but I thought this knife was larger. It's not tiny, but it's overall length is 7'' and blade is 3'', cutting edge I measured as 2 3/4''.The fit and finish is great.Pretty much everything you've heard from all the knife reviewers is true. There's barely anything wrong with this knife, and any flaws you can find, I haven't found any yet, can be looked over for it's price. It's just a good, cheap(er) knife. If you're thinking about getting the Rat 2, that's enough reason to just buy it. It's good. There's really nothing else to say about it.If you've stumbled upon this knife and know nothing about it, but want a cheap pocket knife that is also quality. This is one of the options. Also oil your blade, it's D2, which will rust.

Great EDC knife.
I’ve seen these many times over the years and I finally bought one and it’s big brother. Despite these knives being an older design I can see why people like them so much. These things are built like a tank. There is no blade play. They opened quickly and easily one-handed with the thumb studs and the blades arrived sharp. The liner lock works very well. I did not experience any problems with it sticking as others have reported. The steel may not be modern super steel but for what 90% of people use their knives for this is fine. It feels substantial in the hand and not cheap or flimsy. This has quickly become one of my favorite knives.

Great little EDC pocket knife
I got the Rat 2 thinking it had the D2 steel blade, after I ordered it I realized it has the aus8 steel (my fault), I received the aus8 and I love it, even before use I put it on my strop just because, oh man its a great value, feels good in my hand, and opens silky smooth, I am retiring my gas station 4 dollar knife i've had in my pocket the last 20 years for the Rat 2. Its a huge step forward, btw I went back and ordered the same knife with the D2 steel, the R2D2, i'm stoked to compare them

Great Knife
Its light, it has a great blade and a easy opening with thumb studs. Glad I got it!

Excellent edc budget knife
This is probably one of the best value for money knifes you will find in the market. I've been using it for over a month daily and its held up very good. If your looking for something that you can use all the time I would definitely recommend trying this knife out.

Nice knife for the money.
I have large hands and when I open it quickly my thumb has slipped onto the cutting edge so be careful as it comes sharp. Otherwise nice knife.
