DroiX X96 Max+ Android 9 Pie TV BOX Mini PC HTPC - Amlogic S905X3 2.0Ghz CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM [X96M+-2/16]

X96 Max+I bought this to replace a two year old X96 Mini, which is still going strong, but I needed a unit that would benefit from my Gigabit Broadband.The X96 Max is simplicity itself to setup and install apk's to. I installed my usual favourites and did a speedtest. The unit is connected by ethernet to a good quality TP link Range Extender. Because the X96 Max has a Gigabit Ethernet port speeds as expected are superb. Even though I am connected in the way described I am getting a consistent 220mbs.The unit streams smoothly with no buffering and super quality HD channels are so bright, crisp and clear everything becomes a pleasure to watch.Having owned this units smaller relative, I know how reliable they are, I am confident this model will deliver a few years of excellent service.To anyone considering an Android TV Box buy this one, I am in my 70's and I have no problem with this straightforward and fantastic method of aquiring a wide variety of entertainment.In operation the unit feels very slightly warm to touch so it is well designed and disipates heat very well. Considering how well the unit operates, and with it's specs, it is fairly priced. Overall I would say this has to be one of the better boxes of the current ones available. One further thing to add is that the remote is, in my opinion, quite excellent too.With certain apps there will be times when an air mouse is needed, there are many available and worth acquiring.

Good quality and works well

This X96 Max 64 Gig Verison is awesome so quick it blows the firestick out of the water no more worrying about memory or storage. It plays Amazon prime. It the first box I've had. It's so quick and very easy to setup. I really like it and I've only had it a few hours. You can send all your music from your phone to this box by Bluetooth. I brought a Rii+ USB keyboard with backlit keys and a Air Mouse with voice control both of these items I also brought off Amazon these really make the box complete. I also brought a 64 Gig memory micro sd card so I have 128 gig storage space which is alwalys handy to have but I doubt I will ever use all the 64 gigs that comes with the X96 Max box. Great buy I'm well happy with it.

Very happy with device, quite quick with no lag, no voice control but don't let that put you off, Amazon Prime works on it but you have to install, air mouse control very basic, I did buy a mini key board and it was better, 4K video from Youtube played at HD is really good, unit dose not get really hot to the touch and seems to have more in reserve.

Not as good as others for the price does what it needs to do. as well the dutc version of this books is alot better to buy on Bol.Com

Second media player I'm going to send back in less than 2 days. Initial setup is dead easy, looks sophisticated and easy to manage. First disappointment, Netflix doesn't work. The app wants to update but can't, when you follow Netflix's guidance and install the app again, it doesn't load (incompatible app). When you try to watch it using Chrome, it stops playing with an error. After 5 minutes of struggling the screen went funny (see attached). Reboot solved the problem but than again, after a couple of minutes, went funny. Gave up. Can anyone recommend a media player that actually works?

only had this box just over a week now and i have got to say it as not let me down yet lovely picture quality and easy to used 5-1 dolby digital no problem at all and a very good responsive remote control as well very good match indeed well pleased and i would definitely recommend it .
