Many years ago, I bought some Z-7 Debonder, and it sat for years in a materials closet. Then, when working really late on a project, I accidentally superglued my left thumb and forefinger together. It was almost 3 in the morning and I couldn't get them apart. I tried cutting along the glue joint with an exacto knife, but quickly discovered this would require removing a layer of skin. And I couldn't imagine trying to sleep with my finger and thumb glued together! Then I remembered the Z-7 Debonder I had purchased years ago and wondered if I could find it; and if it would still be usable if I did find it. When I finally located this stuff, It was way in the back of that closet on a shelf - and it hadn't dried up. So, I followed the directions and applied some to my thumb and forefinger - and in a few minutes, my thumb and forefinger were free! If you work with superglue, or any type of CA glue, I strongly recommend keeping some Z-7 Debonder in a place where you can always find it if you need it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This debonder worked well at debonding my fingers from a project I worked on. It allowed me to peel the residue off without taking too much of my skin. Downside is it took a lot of debonder to loosen up the super glue. I found it gentler on my skin that acetone or nail polish remover.

I needed this for a small parts repair that went bad. The debunker worked well enough for me to separate very small parts without damage and thus enabled me to successfully redo the repair.

Anyone who uses CA glue like Zap MUST have a debonder bottle at hand...it can save your fingers getting stuck together or your bare foot stuck on the plastic protector which is used under computer chairs. This is from experience, i stepped barefoot on a small drop of Zap A gap without knowing and as I got up discovered that I was stuck to the floor!. I reached for my debonder bottle...but it was empty!, it was also midnight on a weekend so no pharmacy or hardware store carrying a solvent could be reached. It ended by cutting a circle around my foot and sleeping with the thing stuck there!...now I have at least two bottles always ready as I make models and occasionally use Zap..lesson learned.
