I use coconut oil everyday to sauteé foods and as a substitute for butter on brown rice, potatoes, etc. It's not only healthier, it tastes delicious too. I have used this oil all my life, because I'm Dominican and this oil is a staple in my island. I used to help my mother make this oil from scratch in our kitchen since I was a little girl. It was a long, tedious process! But it smelled so good, and I got to eat lots of little pieces is yummy coconut pulp. We use this oil to cook delicious foods, as well as a natural medicine to prevent and treat constipation. My mother used to give me half a teaspoon of melted oil with a pinch of sea salt on an empty stomach everyday, first thing in the morning to keep me regular. But the most popular use would be as a hair growth stimulant and conditioner (mostly infused with rosemary leaves) which leaves the hair shiny, soft and silky. It also treats psoriasis, dandruff, chapped skin and lips, and weak brittle nails. It also does wonders for dry skin!This oil is very good It is pure and has nothing else added. Trust me, I know what real coconut oil is supposed to look, smell, and taste, and this is the real deal. I use it on my hair and on my skin too and it works just like the one Mom used to make.

I've tried about four different brands of unrefined coconut oil. Carrington Farms is my favorite! It's like coconut flavor and creamy texture will win you over not to mention the value. I use coconut oil to aid in weight loss, make homemade toothpaste and Deoderant- btw the anti microbial properties of coconut oil make it an outstanding ingredient in homemade all natural Deoderant!!! I use it to moisturizer my face, and keep my tattoos looking new! My favorite way to ingest coconut oil is a tablespoon blended( stick blender) into a cup of coffee in the morning- rich creamy coffee with a hint of coconut-soooo good! This is great, and I will be getting more. My Rottweiler was losing her hair and scratching till she was raw nothing was working till I tried the product and now her hair has almost all grown back.

This is an excellent coconut oil. However, recently the price has been all over the place. This is a quick way to lose a loyal buyer.I've been purchasing this coconut oil regularly for a couple years and I have never seen it go up and down like this.I just bought this in February and it was around $16. It used to be even cheaper. Now it is $21.84 and recently it was $28.This kind of pricing practice is heinous. I'm not trying to buy stock on the coconut market. I just want a good and pure jar of coconut oil at a reasonable price that I can rely on, please.

I have purchased at least 2 (54 oz) jars a month for the past couple years and every time the price has been right around 15-16 dollars and as low as 12. I understand that price can increase based on various issues however there is no rational explanation for a 10 dollar increase. This has been a great product but I will no longer be buying it. it the similar mentality that will have you paying for ketchup and straws at local fast food places. I have used this brand of oil faithfully for at least 2 years and I LOVE it. That's the only reason I'm not choosing 1 star. The oil itself is 5 stars. I've never had problems with it being rancid, leaking, or refusing to solidify, as other reviewers have stated. I live in central Arizona and we joke that this bottle of coconut oil is our real thermostat. Forget the groundhog: winter is officially over once the coconut oil stays liquid inside at all times. Temperatures will fluctuate and this oil will solidify as it cools again, then liquefy again as temperatures rise (as they inevitably do here). Taste, texture, everything, has been spot on and top quality for all of this time.I'm upset because of the price fluctuations. And I mean serious price fluctuations, and not over time. I ordered a coconut oil in February 2017 that was $16, then got on here on the 21st of March to see the price was suddenly $27. (I've seen it rise and fall over the years, but never so much.) I posted a question asking if anyone knew why the price hike was so severe, then came back a few days later (on the 24th) to see that it was back down to $19. I ordered even though I didn't like paying that much and I'm glad I did. A friend just asked me which coconut oil I use (because I've raved about it repeatedly) and I came back on here today (27th of March) to get a link to send to her only to see that the price is now up to $28. I mean, really?So I told her to watch it. Maybe the price will go back down in the next few days. This whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth, though, and I will probably end up switching to this oil by Island Fresh. But Highway robbery!Sorry but I need to do this This is a good quality coconut oil, but I can't stand the inconsistent pricing. I'm on subscribe and save if I don't keep checking I will end up getting ripped off unknowingly. One month it's $14 to $15 then the next time it goes up to $30!!! You can buy this oil for approximately $15 range at Vitacost,com, Walmart.com, Jet.com, even Carrington Farms direct sell this for $19. Just thought you should know because this is so unethical.
