I had received one as a gift and it lasted a couple months. I bought another one to cover the fact the first one was a dud and the replacement didn't last either. One dud still sits on my counter to be seen (gift) but i use cheap-o Walmart white windups (about 3 bucks).... one in a kitchen drawer (stashed out of sight) and one in my office for various time reminders. They last long enough to keep me happy or until i drop them. I wasn't impressed with battery timers either, but now my microwave has a timer....BUT, i still use the cheap-o wind-ups a lot and can move them to where i need them.
