Review: The Cool Grey pack has THREE black markers - If you are looking to get just the black Prismacolor double-ended markers, then the Cool Grey pack here seems to be the closest thing you're going to find. At least that I know of. Each of the grey markers are slightly different from each other, but the three blacks are the same color black. And so, the only thing that I would call a downside, would be that there aren't any packs that are just nothing but black markers. But that's alright. I suppose I'll live... Lol, besides that though, I don't have any complaints. I went with these Prismacolor markers because I wanted some premium quality markers. And I knew that's what I would get from Prismacolor.

I gotta say these things turned into an addiction. I can color with greater speed than just with graphite pencils (I’m a grey-scale type of artist) and the quality of the ink is pretty awesome. Maybe it’s because they are water based that they get to blend pretty easily when you combine them, let’s say, each tone will blend nicely when exposed to its darker step. The only thing that makes me sad is that the 10% grey one dried too quickly. Maybe I overused it, but other than that, these guys have become my best friends at any time. The thick tip gives you the chance to color in a wider range and without leaving marks, So the cool thing is that you can draw a line with the same marker over and over and over again and it won’t go darker. It will remain its original tone. I’ll share some pieces I’ve made with them.

**Q: What kind of paper would you use these markers with?**
A: Strathmore maker paper is the best, and it's relatively inexpensive. You should do the original art on another piece of paper, rather than straight on the marker , asit is thin enough to see through.

**Q: Are these markers fade resistant?**
A: Yes, but only out of direct sunlight. NO alcohol marker is fade resistant in direct sunlight. They are dye-based and non-archival.

**Q: how well do the markers blend?**
A: I was skeptical at first when purchasing these markers but was amazed on how well they blend and vibrant the colors are.

**Q: I am very interested in these markers. Do they have a brush tip by any chance?**
A: These are 12 double-ended markers which are chisel and fine point. We do have Scholar™ Brush Markers if you are interested in brush tips.

These markers are a great price, along with the other Prismacolor items found on Amazon. I live in Canada, and these markers were shipped to me much faster than i had thought. The quality of the markers are exactly as i had hoped: the different shades of grey and the different sizes of ends are awesome, easy and fun to use. I work with many different mediums in art, and i'm glad that there are 3 black markers in the box because i use them for many other art projects. Also, soon after i got this, i went to a Michaels arts and crafts store and saw the exact same markers on a shelf, there was one box left for over 80 dollars...So yeah these markers are pretty sweet.
