Between that and the myriad of systems I've worked with in my career, I've come across a lot of mice and I've been partial to Logitech wireless mice for several years now. I bought this one as a replacement for a worn out Logitech LX7 on my desktop PC but I actually ordered it by mistake. I meant to buy a larger laser mouse meant for desktops but I'm using it on my desktop right now while I'm typing this review anyway because I really like it. It should go into one of my laptop cases due to it's small size, and someday it probably will, but for now I really like using it every day. I tend to get lazy with a full size mouse sometimes and let my hand slide down the back, so when I go to click one of the buttons I'm actually depressing the back of the button sometimes rather than the center of it. Occasionally that can cause the odd 'mis-click' if I don't move my hand forward a bit. This mouse and the accompanying miniature USB dongle both have a small size that seem obviously designed for a laptop. It fits really well into my hand and that small size never gives me the feeling that I have to 'reach' my fingers to click the buttons. It feels very solid and tracks perfectly. Unlike some previous models this one has no problems tracking across a glossy desktop surface, even though I don't normally use it on one. Cursor movement is smooth and sure, with no lag or jitters whatsoever. I've only had it a month so I can't speak as to longevity, but I'm extremely satisfied with it so far. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love this mouse *by J***K on June 23, 2023* I absolutely love this mouse and had to search a little to find one for sale. The scroll wheel is ratchet-style -- it clicks as you turn it -- and those clicks are nice and chunky so you have complete control and feedback as to when you've turned the wheel one notch (or two or three notches). Other mice seem to be vague in that regard. I generally like a small mouse, and this one fits nicely between my thumb on one side and ring finger and pinky on the other side. I can move it just with my fingers and keep my wrist still for the most part. One thing: the battery that came with the mouse seemed to be mostly dead, perhaps because Logitech hasn't made this mouse for a while and the seller has had it in inventory for years. But batteries are cheap. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hard to pair, but works well *by S***E on April 20, 2012* I bought this mouse and a Logitech wireless keyboard for use with my Macbook Pro when home and plugged into a monitor. One compelling reason for buying these is that Logitech offers a "unifying" usb connector that allows connection of up to 6 wireless Logitech devices through the one connector. While I would have preferred to use bluetooth, this at least allowed using the keyboard and mouse while only using up one usb port.All went ok with the keyboard. Plugged in the usb connector in the back of the monitor, turned on the keyboard, and it was recognized and started working immediately. No such luck with the mouse. Not only was it not recognized, but there was interference with my other mouse what I turned that back on to control the computer. I had to download software twice from the Logitech support site, finally finding and installing the version with the patch for OS-X Lion, then after much fighting get their unifying control software started. The software hung up before running to completion, and I got a software error message in the process, but now both the mouse and keyboard are working.Also beware that while the mouse comes with a usb plug, it is not the "unifying" plug. That one came with the keyboard. Unless you know what to look for, you can't tell the difference.The mouse is smaller than the microsoft mouse I had, but it fits nicely in my hand and scrolls and moves smoothly.
